Convicted red shirt and former actor Methi Amornvuthikul said Annie claimed she had fallen pregnant with his child, four months into their relationship.
He disputed her claims, as he wore protection. Their relationship ended 11 years ago.
''When I confronted Annie with the claims, she admitted she lied,'' he said outside the South Bangkok Civil Court on Tuesday, where he appeared on an unrelated charge of assault.
She claimed she graduated in nursing, and finished her schooling overseas, he said. ''I spoke to her mother. She never studied nursing, and her English was poor,'' he said.
Methi said he discovered Annie was seeing two other celebrities when they were together, and stopped seeing her.
His experience with the Thai-Swedish actress foreshadowed Annie's bitter paternity wrangle with Film, in which she has accused him of fathering her baby. She has refused repeated demands that her son, now three months old, take a DNA test.
The battle, which is dividing along gender lines, has gripped the public for a third straight week. ''Annie wants to make her name from claims that superstar Film is the unwilling father, so it is no wonder she refuses to take a DNA test,'' he said.
''She has declared from the outset that she is prepared to be a single mum,'' Methi said. He denied he was trying to build his own reputation.
''The entertainment industry turned its back on me two years ago when I first mounted the red shirt stage. I now plan to stand for politics.''
Annie's claims that she gave birth to Film's unwanted child set off a furious paternity battle which now threatens to go to court.
The early loser in the battle for public opinion was Film, after he initially insisted on a DNA test before he would agree to support the child. His entertainment label, RS Promotion, pulled the plug on his career until he faced up to his responsibilities.
His fortunes hardly improved when his boss, RS head Surachai ''Hia Hor'' Chetchotisak, accused Annie of seeing four men late last year at the time she supposedly fell pregnant with Film's baby. Thais rounded on him for betraying bedroom confidences and insulting women - ''the same sex as your mother''.
Annie denied the claims, and a Channel 3 actor named by Hia Hor as one of Annie's gang of four insisted he never had relations with the woman. He quit Channel 3 soon after.
Annie has said little to reporters all week. On Tuesday she and her child posed for a magazine cover shoot. She also took part in a TV interview.
Amid claims that Annie demanded a six-figure sum for the work, the Manager/ASTV newspaper said the actress was taking advice from a celebrity gossip magazine honcho who has also signed up Annie for a pocketbook expose on Film.
The next day, Annie said she is likely to lay defamation charges against Methi. The Friends of Women Foundation, which is also advising Annie, has threatened legal action against anyone who suggests Annie is a woman of loose morals.
''I admit that we once saw each other, but I never had relations with him,'' said Annie, referring to Methi.
''Influential people and business interests are behind these attacks. I just want to be left alone to make a living and raise my child,'' Annie said.
On the same day as Methi's claims, Film was admitted to hospital after taking an overdose of anti-stress pills.
Family members denied Film attempted to kill himself, insisting he was merely suffering from stress. Visiting him in hospital, actress Naowarat ''Jik'' Yuktanan, a family friend, said she gave Film the medication.
Earlier, Film asked director Poj Anon, a long-term friend, for sleeping pills, but he refused to supply them. Poj - flanked by Film's elder brother ''Air'' Purithat, and Films manager, Panat Chaijinda - went before the media to declare he was taking over as Film's custodian.
''In the absence of DNA proof, I will sue anyone who claims Film is the father,'' said Poj, who complained Thais had turned against Film and refused to hear his side of the saga ever since it began.
Manager Panat brought out bank statements which he said showed Film's family had transferred 250,000 baht to Annie. The most recent payment was made the day before the saga went public.
Film spent the day in the ICU and on Thursday, looking pale and thin, he was released from care.
His mother, Kormmon Thongmung, declared her family is no longer willing to help Annie, and asked her to stop dragging Film's name into the row.
''If she is not willing to take a DNA test, she has no right to claim he is the father,'' she said.
On Thursday, Methi went before the media a second time after Annie denied having relations with him.
Wearing black and shaking his finger before the cameras, Methi said he is sure Annie will sue, and is prepared for the outcome.
The Department of Special Investigation has detained Methi for his role in the red shirt riots in April and May.
He said police allowed him to speak to the media in response to Annie's remarks.
''I'm sending her a message. I have evidence and witnesses. I'm not someone to be toyed with. If you lie about me, make false claims to the police, perjure yourself in court, I'll see you in jail,'' he vowed, referring to Annie.
''Let's quit with these claims that this woman's critics are attacking the fairer sex.
''This is about the conduct of one woman - and others are lining up to sue her, not just me,'' he claimed.
Lawyers Council secretary-general Wanchai Sornsiri said Methi's comments were ''unmanly'' and Annie should sue.
In Annie's home province of Lampang, a women's group brought about 300 Annie supporters in protest against Hia Hor's remarks about her gang of four men.
Calling on the public to boycott RS products, they trampled on music videos by RS artists, and defaced pictures of Hia Hor.
In a comment on his Twitter page, the RS head said he regretted the reaction, and said he would take more care with his utterances.
Film was free to return to work any time, but his family and supporters would have to handle the dispute from now on, as he wanted to steer clear of the battle. -

An actress suing a travel company for taking liberties with her reputation says her first appearance in court was nothing like she expected.
Previously, Manasnan ''Donut'' Panlertwongskul has appeared in court only in soap operas. The real thing is much scarier, she said.
Donut gave evidence recently in a court case she is taking against tour company Ngohpatour, which cited Donut's name in relation to advertising for a four-day tour to Vietnam last year.
A brochure for the 16,900 baht tour included pictures of Donut wearing a bikini, taken from a Praew magazine shoot two years ago. ''Come and see Vietnam with Donut!'' it says.
Donut, who is suing the company for one million baht in damages, says the company used her name and the pictures without permission.
After giving evidence late last month, Donut said the experience - her first time in a real court, as opposed to a fake one in a TV soap - was nothing like she expected.
''Someone asked if I had ever been to court. I replied, 'Only in lakorns,' '' she said.
''I know I've done nothing wrong, but I felt breathless and nervous. I behaved awkwardly and couldn't do a thing right.'' Witnesses for the tour firm have now taken the stand, and a decision is expected in the next two months.
