Actress Janie Tienphosuwan is saying little amid internet rumours
that her marriage to millionaire businessman Chonsawat "Ae" Asavahame is
on the rocks.
Janie’s friends refuse to comment, referring reporters to Janie herself, who is staying out of sight. A source close to her husband says he is too important a public figure to talk to the gossipy entertainment press.
Meanwhile, the putative third hand who is supposedly behind their marriage problems, youngster Pui Nun, says she will not answer internet criticism that she is doing their relationship harm.
"I hate the question, ‘Aren’t you afraid of looking bad?’ Why should I care what you think?
"I care only for the people who care for me!"
In recent days, Pui Nun has posted pictures of Ae’s jet ski and racing car on her Instagram account.
She has also posted a picture of her room in a luxury Pattaya hotel, coinciding with a date on which Ae was known to be in the same city motor racing.
In another image of Pui Nun, alert netizens say they can see a figure resembling a smiling Ae, reflected in her sunglasses as he is taking her picture.
Amid a deluge of internet rumours that one of the most infamous celebrity marriages of last year is now breaking up, Pui Nun has now set the status of her Instagram account to private. She has yet to talk to reporters.
The Manager/ASTV newspaper quoted a source as saying Janie hasn’t been seen at the Asavahame family pile in Samut Prakan, where Ae is chairman of the local provincial administrative organisation, for a month.
Other reports quote the author of a post at the Pantip webboard who says Janie confronted Ae with claims he was seeing Pui Nun. Ae responded physically, the reports claim, with the result that Janie has now left their marital home.
Thai Rath newspaper on Friday quoted a source close to Ae as saying Pui Nun is merely a member of Ae’s staff. She helps out at the office and at weekends when he takes part in motor racing events, he said.
"She is one of his staff of about 10, who helps get him ready. On racing days she turns up as a member of the cheer squad, and on her days off plays on his jet ski," the source said.
The source said Ae was not the kind of man to raise his hand in anger. "As an elected figure, he cannot respond to mere entertainment tittle-tattle. He would rather the public focus on his work."
He declined to say whether the couple are having trouble. "Wait for Ae to speak to the people of the province himself," he said.
Responding to the internet fuss, Janie has now left a cryptic post at the Instagram account she shares with Ae. Called "Clear mind with clear sky", it is accompanied oddly by a picture of a cloud-filled sky, and Pu Anchalee’s plaintive song, Love.
Janie married Ae in August last year, after a secret five-month courtship.
It did not go down well with the public, who wondered if Janie did it for the money. Ae's father is former deputy interior minister Vatana Asavahame, who is on the run from a corruption conviction. -

Kissing and telling
Man, Baitoey |
Actor and DJ Pattanapol "Man" Kunchorn Na Ayutthaya is brushing off
remarks he stole an out-of-scene kiss with actress Panadda "Boom"
Wongphudee, even as his girlfriend looked on.
Reports last week said Man stole the kiss on the set of a soap opera, Mae Luak Kert Dai, even as his girlfriend, singer and actress Suteewan "Baitoey" Thaveesin, watched the saucy scene unfold.
Boom, who plays a mother figure, is bare-chested but for a slender item of clothing draped over her body, when Man, a young policeman, steals a kiss. Some reports said he stuck his tongue in her mouth, while others claimed it was a more discreet, though still unscripted, shoulder kiss.
"Boom was so startled that as soon as the director called 'Cut!' she turned to Baitoey and apologised!" one breathless report said.
Man, who is weathering a storm of internet criticism about his pairing with sexy Baitoey, is taking the fuss in his stride.
"A member of my fanclub sent me the story. Oh ho, if you could just write with a few ethics, that would be nice!" he said, talking about the press.
"If it were true, I would have nowhere to hide. So I have been sticking my tongue in Boom’s mouth? She’s my senior. It’s not possible!"
Internet critics recall a steamy love scene he acted in with model and actress Irin "Pel" Srikaew, in the drama The Murderer Iron Box.
Man fell out with Baitoey after a clip of their sex scene, in which Man openly gropes his co-star’s breasts, was leaked to social media. Man complained the clip was too raunchy for his girlfriend, and landed him in trouble.
Pel, who also fell out with Man after the clip appeared, said the actor accused her of being behind the leak. She also claimed Man called the producers and tried to get the scene cut from the movie.
Asked if the latest report of his unsolicited kiss with Boom was intended to put off actresses from working with him, Man said he was unworried, as the truth would out.
"The scene was scripted. Boom teased me, asking if Baitoey wouldn’t mind. But it was just in jest. Really, there’s nothing to it."
Asked to comment, Boom disagreed the kiss appeared in the script, but said the director ordered it, and Man simply did as instructed. She denied exclaiming on set that she wasn’t ready for the kiss.
"That comment belongs to another scene," she said dryly. -
It's all over now
Tack |
DJ and actor Paranyu "Tack" Rojanavudtitham has failed to make up
after a row with his girlfriend after he was supposedly caught seeing
someone else, and says it’s now time both went their separate ways.
Tack declared last week his relationship with brassy DJ Sakoltala "Ton Horm" Tianpairojt was over, and he wished her the best.
It’s the second time they have parted, after Ton Horm earlier severed ties with Tack in a message on Instagram.

By way of an apology, widely publicised on the internet, the outspoken DJ crawled across the floor on her knees, while holding a floral arrangement with a lit joss stick on top.
Days later, however, Tack himself was in trouble, after a young presenter posted on social media an intimate picture of her getting friendly with Tack at her city condo.
Ton Horm cut off contact with Tack when the picture came to light.
By last week, Tack said he knew it was time both sides parted ways. "For my fans, please stop cheering for us to get back together. I will remember our good times as a couple. For now, we must get on with our lives."
In response to Tack’s Instagram farewell, Ton Horm said she was still in love with her man.
"I still love the same guy … though times change, and so do people," she said.
