Sek's lawyer, Udom Prongfa, is suing Sek's former wife, Wiphakorn "Kan'' Sukpimai for 20 million baht.
The pair met for conciliation talks at the Ratchada Criminal Court last week, but failed to settle their defamation dispute. The court has called them together again on March 30.
Sek has appealed to the pair to drop their dispute, to no avail.
"We're all friends. I hope we can drop this matter. The signs are good,'' a weary looking Sek said outside the court on Tuesday.
Mr Udom, who insists his relationship as Sek's lawyer has not changed since he started the legal action, said he is willing to drop the case if Kan apologises.

"When I sit next to the pair, Sek apologises to me for what Kan said, but Kan herself says nothing, as if she has yet to feel any remorse,'' he said. "She just gives me stony looks, and changes the subject.
"If she does not apologise, I will file another three or four suits against her, for each defamatory comment she left about me on Facebook,'' he said.
Asked whether Sek wanted him to drop the suit, Mr Udom said Sek recognised his right to protect his own reputation.
"My relationship with Sek has not changed. I can still represent his interests. If I win, I'll give all the money to charity.
"On a personal level, I know Sek loves me, and Kan alike,'' he said.
He had dropped his original demand that Kan apologise in 14 newspapers and magazines, and was now willing to settle for just three titles.
However, she would also have to say sorry before the media, and to him personally.
He said Sek's younger sister was also taking defamation action against Kan for her Facebook comments.
Kan said that while she and Sek were technically estranged, for all intents and purposes they were still together.
"Udom is effectively taking legal action against his own client [Sek], as we'd both have to pay if he won the case. I didn't name anyone on Facebook; I was just letting off steam,'' she insisted.
"All I said was that Sek had not entrusted his finances to anyone - not family, not to his lawyer,'' she said.
"Sek has asked him many times to drop the matter, and is stressed out about it,'' she said.
Kan said while she was confident the dispute would end in conciliation, she is taking no chances. She has hired four lawyers to represent her.
Mr Udom has hired seven, and already forked out 200,000 baht in legal fees.
The pair discussed their dispute on television last month, with both sides admitting the prospects of settlement looked remote.
The defamation wrangle erupted early this year while Sek was being treated for his drugs habit at the Thanyarak Institute in Pathum Thani.
Sek admitted himself for treatment after Kan, with whom he was estranged, outed him on Facebook as a drug user.
Kan accused Sek of throwing her and their three children out of their home in favour of another woman, breaching the terms of a separation agreement, mistreating her physically and mentally, and smoking drugs in front of the children.
After Sek admitted taking drugs, his recording label Grammy Entertainment cancelled its contract with him.
Sek admitted himself for treatment rather than face criminal charges.
However, Sek's troubles did not end there. While Sek was in rehab, Kan and Sek's family argued in the media, accusing each other of taking liberties with the star's finances.
The row between Kan and Sek's family first took a nasty turn in December when she broke into the couple's house in Sai Mai.
Sek, who had yet to admit himself for care, was away in the provinces on a concert tour.
Kan said she and two of her children attempted to gain entry to the house to retrieve the children's school uniforms. Two men whom Sek hires to look after the place refused to allow her entry.
While there, she came upon Sek's manager, Pornpimon "Aom'' Thephichai, with whom Sek had struck up a romantic attachment.
Aom later laid a police complaint against Kan for damaging her property after Kan allegedly attacked a car in the garage that belongs to her.
Mr Udom said Sek asked him to take care of his affairs following the break-in, and the arrangement was formalised while Sek was in care. He shared the duty with Sek's mother and younger sister.
On Facebook, however, Kan insisted she had the right to look after Sek's affairs, as their house and vehicles were in joint ownership, and in some cases, her own.
Since the Thanyarak Institute discharged Sek last month, he and Kan have gone back to living together as they attempt to overcome their differences. -

A celebrity manager is helping A-list star Patcharapa "Aum'' Chaichuea, single since she parted with a socialite last May, find a mate.
Supachai "A'' Sriwichit, who is often seen at social events in the starlet's company now that she no longer has a boyfriend to call her own, has published a list of 11 attributes on the internet that he says any prospective suitor must meet.
Aum has been single since she split up with Kornwat "Note'' Chaiwirawat last May, supposedly after Note showed too much interest in various female friends.
Judging by the tongue-in-cheek list that A has left for would-be suitors, her chances of finding a new boyfriend in a hurry look slim.
Aum's next boyfriend, said A, must dress well and have clean feet, as Aum does not like dirty socks. He can wear aftershave, but he can't have body odour, he said.
"He must be hard of hearing, or in other words, willing to ignore gossip about Aum. He must believe only her,'' he said.
"He must also be blind, by which we mean, he can't look at other women, only Aum.
"He must also be mute, meaning he is forbidden from complimenting anyone but Aum.
"As far as money is concerned, Aum would rather you have plenty of your own, as she doesn't want to have to ask her family for help on your behalf.
"Age is not important, but if you are younger than Aum that would be a plus, as you'll age quickly for sure if you are going out with her.
"You must also have magical powers, meaning that if you are summoned, you will have to appear instantly, wherever you are.
"You must also be an optimist, so if you see Aum taking a meal with another man, you must assume she is simply eating with friends.
"You must like games, such as snooker, golf or horse-riding - but most importantly, you have to pretend to lose if you are playing against Aum.
"You must answer the phone whenever she calls - no excuses accepted.
"You must also love all Aum's friends, including her dogs,'' he said.
Aum has not commented on whether A's list is likely to improve her chances of getting hitched.
She said her relationship with Note ended with a fizz rather than a bang, denying reports she baked his mobile phone in the microwave to punish him for his womanising ways.
Aum was known for upbraiding her boyfriend in public for his supposed dalliances with other women.
"I don't expect any promises, though I would like my next boyfriend to be a little older,'' she said then.
"All I would ask is that he has eyes only for me.''
