Getting tongue-tied and going bra-less

Pu
Actress Priya "Pu" Suandokmai has come up with a novel way to explain away racy pictures of herself at a student party overseas, published by a Thai gossip magazine. Those guys pawing her were gay - so it doesn't count!

Gossip Star ran pictures of a farang admirer licking Pu's cheek, and another guy nestling in to her neck.

She admits that in the eyes of polite Thai society, they do not make her look good. However, she can explain away her interest in all these men: some were gay, which is not the same at all as having straight men kissing and pawing a sweetly modest Thai girl.

The images, which come originally from her own Facebook page on the internet, were taken at parties she attended in Britain, where Pu is studying.

When she returned home for a break recently, Pu declared she was now single, after breaking up with socialite Prakasit "Pat" Pornprapha.

However, she had found new admirers at her public university, Oxford Brookes.

Some of her admirers have popped up in the pictures published by Gossip Star. Pu is worried television heads will stop giving her work if they see she is scandal-prone.

''The real me is not as racy as I appear in those pictures. I look surprised because I did not expect that guy to kiss my neck.

''The guy giving me the hug is gay, not my boyfriend...and the other guy is a boyfriend of his.
'I am still single, okay? It's still okay to pose with girly gay friends, isn't it?''

Pu says that in her three months overseas, she went to just three parties.

She had explained the pictures to her parents, who told her not to upload any more images to her Facebook.

Pu returns to Britain to carry on her studies in a matter of days. She is hoping she can stay scandal-free at least until her flight leaves. -

Yingmaen
Feisty minor royal Yingmaen and her actor boyfriend have advised each other to keep a cool head, after Yingmaen let fly on the internet at one of his former flings, setting off a round of negative coverage which has upset her parents.

Model Yingmaen,18, left a nasty message at the Hi5 site of an actress from production company Kantana.

The unnamed actress was pictured in the press recently with Yingmaen's boyfriend, Parunyou ''Tack'' Rojanavudtitham. She also left a lovey-dovey message to Tack at his Hi5.

Yingmaen (Mom Rachawong Mannarumas Yukol), a jealous type, saw the message and the picture, and admits she blew a fuse.

A day after posting her bitchy response at the actress's Hi5, she deleted it, but not before excerpts ended up in the media.

Choice bits? ''For once, Mor Krit Confrm [a celebrity fortune-teller] might just get it right. Within seven days, it will all be over.

''I will wait for the monk [Tack] to leave the monkhood. I hate you. I hate my boyfriend too. Would you like to know what I'm really like? You want to know what it's like to be my enemy?

''You're both in the entertainment industry, but if I were you, I would try to keep this out of the news. Don't let your parents see reports which will accuse you of acting as a third hand, breaking up< someone else's relationship....stealing the monk.

''Don't give them the opportunity to accuse you of being low-class. And don't think you can apologise after the event, because I will never forgive. You want to be famous? Don't worry, I'll arrange it. You'll be notorious...just leave it to me...''

Bestubbled, tattooed Tack, a self-confessed Romeo, has just left the monkhood in Chiang Mai where he spent a few weeks making merit for his father. He has yet to return to Bangkok, but has spoken to Yingmaen, advising her to ''jai yen''.

Yingmaen's response? ''I warned him to do the same. If he has to leave messages to his fans, he should avoid doing it on the internet, as it's too public. Tack and I are seeing each other, and he should remember that.''

A first-year student at Chulalongkorn University's ''ínter'' department, schooled in Britain, outspoken Yingmaen admits she is the headstrong, jealous type.

In November, she burst into tears at a city department store when told by journalists that Tack had been sighted with yet another woman.

''I feel sorry about what happened. My parents are not happy either, as I am in the news often, and it is always negative. I have spoken to Tack and the actress on Messenger, and cleared everything up. He has actually known her for a long while. It's not what I thought.''

How long before Yingmaen's next outpouring of youthful jealousy? As he leaves the relative solitude of the monkhood to return to the tumult of life as a taken man in Bangkok, Tack, 25, must be wondering the same thing himself. -

Pae
Actor Arak ''Pae'' Amornsupasiri goes beyond the call of duty to improve his el-o-cu- tion on screen. He had the end of his tongue clipped, to give the organ more room to move, after a doctor pronounced he was ''tongue-tied''.

The Best of Time actor, and guitarist for the band Slur, says he is happy with the result, though the procedure was painful. ''Blood< spurted out my mouth,'' he said.

He noticed the problem which taking speech training for his role. Pae underwent the procedure over New Year, which left him in pain for a week. ''However, my friends say I am now speaking more clearly, and I am also becoming more talkative,'' he says. ''I don't need to worry about my tongue any longer, and can concentrate fully on my acting.'' -

4.
Ae

Actress Maneerat ''Ae'' Kham-uan donned a strapless dress for the role of a mad-cap ghost in a TV sitcom - but was dismayed to find her chest is not stout enough to keep it up.

In the television sitcom Neua Koo Pratoo Tad Pai, Ae plays a ghost whose spirit possesses her two male co-stars.

While they imitated her ghostly girly antics with ease (as possessed souls do), Ae found it hard to wear the traditional Thai-style dress which she must don for the part, as her breasts are too small to keep it in place.

''It's supposed to cling to the chest, but I have no chest for it to cling to,'' she said sadly. Her make-up artist tried stuffing two pairs of socks down there, to no avail - the dress kept slipping, and they did not look real anyway.

Solution? The make-up artist pencilled in a cleavage line, to at least give the impression of a mound. Ae says that was enough to restore her confidence, if not the upper line of the dress.
