Sek's sex line blues, Jah in love triangle, Nicole's lament

Rocker arcs up at old boss
Sek
Rocker Sek Loso has taken a pot shot at his former music boss, GMM Grammy chairman Paiboon Damrongchaitham, after his son allegedly tried buying sex from Sek’s live-in lover, Apisaya “Eve” Pattanaworasap.

Sek took to social media last week to let off a series of explosive posts criticising Mr Paiboon, also known as Ah Koo, after his son allegedly contacted Eve, a former beauty contestant, on the Line app with a proposal he pay her for sex.

“Your son contacted a woman I am looking after and asked to buy her services. Didn’t you teach him better than this? Why not ask him and see? She used to sell her body but when I stepped into her life quit all that,” he declared in an expletive-laden post. He later identified Eve by name.

Sek’s frank admission that his girlfriend once sold her body, owing to her financial plight, set off a storm on social media, with Sek’s former wife, Wiphakorn “Kan” Sukpimai, asking why Sek would expose Eve to public ridicule if he was thinking straight.

“I see you have found yourself a good woman of honour, and told the public that she used to sell her body! And you think, do you, that she has stopped selling herself? If she’d stopped there’d be no one making contact hoping to buy her services,” she said acidly.

Undeterred, Sek widened his attack, saying Ah Koo himself liked to buy sex from women. “He buys it for 20,000 baht a pop and breaks open 100,000 baht bottles of wine at the same time — while charging pub bands ridiculous amounts in royalty fees for the right to play Grammy songs,” he said, referring to a long-standing complaint of his against the music giant.

Asked to comment, Mr Paiboon said he hadn’t seen Sek’s attack, but was sure he and Sek are still close friends. “Sek respects me a great deal. He once prostrated himself at my feet. We haven’t been in touch lately but he often greets me and asks me for a meal.

“I don’t know what lies behind the attack, says I will get one of my people to look at it. However, I won’t sue, but just let it go,” he said.

Mr Paiboon’s troubles with Sek go back to at least late 2011 when Sek admitted he was taking heroin after Kan outed him on social media. Grammy cancelled its contract with the veteran rocker.

With his career in freefall, Sek admitted himself for treatment at the Thanyarak institute, as the Office of the Narcotics Control Board gave Sek a week to enter rehab or face the prospect of a six-month jail term.

In one drug-crazed rant, Sek accused Grammy of tapping his phones, and sending spies to follow him.

“None of it happened, and I have to beg for Grammy’s apology. I was just paranoid,” Sek said the following February, after emerging from treatment. However, he did not go back to the music label, preferring to manage his own career.

Eve, who has not commented on the latest saga, was until recently a regular companion of Sek’s in public. However, in April Sek left his fans guessing about the status of their relationship, his latest “wife”, after he declared he was single again.

“All I want to say is this ... I am single again [with four kids, three dogs],” he wrote on social media.

Later, he posted an image of Eve giving him a cheek kiss, accompanied by the words: “Who among you youngsters thinks she might be my next wife?”

Eve was seen in media footage accompanying the rocker during his recent arrest drama after he fired a handgun into the air at a temple in Nakhon Si Thammarat, and resisted arrest at his home in Bangkok.

The Nakhon Si Thammarat provincial court sentenced him to 10 days in jail for firing into the air and possessing an unlicensed weapon. Sek is out on appeal.

Yet another woman in Sek’s life is the mother of his newborn child, actress Paphada “Sandwich” Chotikawanitch, whom he started seeing last year but has since dumped in favour of Eve.

Contacted by reporters back in April, Eve laughed off the rocker’s mysterious post. She said they were still together, and she was still living at his home.

Tu carves VJ’s name in tree

A businessman who admits he is seeing actress and VJ Natthaweeranuch “Jah” Thongmee romantically even though he has yet to leave his wife has leaped to the defence of the VJ, denying she came between him and his wife.

Jah
Businessman Thananan “Tu” Eua-arak went before the media last week after rumours emerged on social media that Jah was seeing a married man.

Tu, who admitted accompanying Jah on a romantic trip to Hong Kong, said they had been seeing each other since the start of the year.

However, he denied Ja lured him away from his wife, identified in the Thai media as “Por”, as he and his wife were already having problems and had started the process of getting a divorce.

“Jah is aware of our marital status as I have kept her advised every step of the way, and she received an assurance from the other side [Por] that we were mere friends, have gone our separate ways and are free to see new people,” he said.

Tu said he and Jah have decided to take a step back from their relationship until he has cleared up things with his estranged wife. He denied he had withdrawn a large sum from their joint account to support Jah, as he was on a better income than him and can look after herself.

Jah, who says she is preparing to put her side of the tale, has yet to comment. The pair are thought to have met on a business admin course. However, commenting later in the week, Tu’s estranged wife, Por, denied she had given her husband the all-clear to see someone else, and in fact had warned Jah to stay away.

“We are still legally married and living under the same roof,” she said.

“I am beyond disappointed that, even though we are married, Tu has gone public and defended the other woman,” she said. She had an inkling he had started to stray when he started coming home late.

When Tu eventually admitted it, he said he would clear up the matter with Jah, and Por said she thought the VJ would keep her distance, especially after she asked her to stop seeing her husband. In fact, she was shocked to see they were still together.

Por said she had known Tu since their university days. “We split up once for 2-3 years over a similar thing. He appeased me, and I forgave him. We were together another 2-3 years and finally married seven years ago.” The saga continues.

Noom’s wandering eye

Actress Nicole “Nicky” Theriault has spoken out about the end of her relationship with actor Sornram “Noom” Theappitak, suggesting he had started seeing someone else when they were still together.
Nicole
Noom admitted last month he and Nicky had broken up, but denied a “third party” came between them.

Noom broke news of the split after reports emerged he had been seeing beauty queen Thaveepon ‘‘Namfon’’ Areesawat on the sly. Leaked excerpts from a chat emerged in which Noom invited Namfon to his condo, along with a photograph she took in which she is lying with her head against his chest.

Noom said he spoke to Namfon briefly after she and Nicole split up in March. It did not lead anywhere and they were no longer in touch. He said Nicole and he, who were still in touch as friends, split after failing to reconcile differences.

Posting late last month in response to Noom’s remarks, Nicole cryptically that “all women have instinct ... and my instincts were right”. Last week she followed that up with her first public comments on the saga, saying Noom started to stray when the pair were distant, but had yet to tell each other they should call it a day.

“We tried to make it work, but argued constantly, as we are both hot-tempered,” she said.

“Time passed, and we started to grow distant in March, but were still talking and would meet for meals.

“In May I said they should give each other space, though we were still trying, and still talking ... we hadn’t called it off.

“When this news broke Noom called wishing me good luck and asking me not to speak about us too strongly, as he doesn’t want to suffer any negative repercussions from his actions.”

On a conciliatory note, she added: “While we had not yet quit when he says he started seeing the other woman, he might have thought we had.”

Meanwhile, Namfon, holder of the Miss Tourism Thailand South-East Asia 2011 title, admitted she had been talking to Noom, but denied breaking up their relationship. She would like to get back in touch.
