Gay lovers' tiff, Kotee denies virgin claim, Ice insists she's clean

Socialite pines for lover
Guy and the socialite
A gay socialite has gone to police after his young lover, a former actor, took off with possessions worth almost 900,000 baht.

The socialite, 48, a businessman in Chiang Mai, complained to police after the young man, Darun “Guy” Techapoowadol, 25, disappeared from their home shortly after the two returned from a trip to Japan last month.

"He claimed he was going out to play football but never came back," the socialite, identified as Chansiri, told police.

Speaking to the media later, Chansiri said Guy took with him a phone, clothes, diamond jewellery, brand name bag and Harley Davidson motorbike he had lent him.

Guy, a supporting actor whose contract with Channel 7 ran out last December, appeared in soap operas for the channel. He has also worked as a product presenter for Tesco Lotus, a hair gel brand, Toyota Revo, and presented a tourism campaign on PPTV.

Chansiri said he had known the younger man through a mutual friend for about seven months. Guy asked to move in with him last November after an argument with his lover, he said.

“We were together as close friends, though we also had sex. I asked him to help with my business interests, and in return I let him use various goods, such as a phone, clothes and jewellery,” he said.

“I love him very much. When he entered the monkhood briefly, I spared nothing, splashing out 100,000 baht. And this is how he rewards me,” he grumbled.

After Guy left on Feb 26, Chansiri tried to contact him, without success. He also visited his parents’ place, but failed to find him there.

“Guy’s parents, who had asked me to look after him, are fed up with their son,” he said.

“Guy called my mother two days later, complaining in tears that I had gone too far. I was happy to die for him ... but I saw him buy a set of earrings, which he has never done before. I am sure he has bought them for a woman. When I asked him about them, he couldn’t answer me properly. In the end he took off again.”

Chansiri said he had since heard from Guy’s mother that he had dropped off the Harley Davidson at her place and headed to Bangkok to find modelling work.

“I feel really unhappy he is being so ungrateful. I will give him four to five days to repent and return my goods," he said. “If he comes back, I will put all this behind us. We can go back to looking after each as we were before.  If not, I will pursue legal action as far as I can, as I don’t want anyone else to fall victim to such behaviour."

Police said they would call Guy in for questioning this week.

Comedian still has the magic
Kotee
Comedian Kotee Aramboy denies media reports he has broken up with his girlfriend, or that they were together just for show.

Kotee, 37, is upset after a television show released edited highlights of an interview, set to screen last night, in which he discusses his loves, past and present, and plans for the future.

He said publicity released for the show claimed incorrectly that he had broken up with his girlfriend of four years, Nong Kwang, because they had never had sex. Kotee said the reports had stung Kwang and her family, and also upset the elders in his life.

"We are still together, though things are stressful at the moment. They couldn’t understand why I would say such a thing. In fact, it wasn’t me, but the TV show," he said.

"They mixed up stories about my first girlfriend 20 years ago, who broke up with me because we never had sex, and Nong Kwang."

Kotee, who has a low sperm count, and was born with more female hormones than male, still hopes to have children with Kwang.

He has been taking expensive hormone injections and losing weight in the hope of manufacturing enough sperm to get Kwang pregnant, so far without success.

The two were hoping to marry early this year, after he proposed to her on a romantic trip to the Maldives. However, Kotee admitted in February last year that their plans were now on hold.

“Love isn’t just about the two of us, but our families as well. And I am still unable to have kids,” he said.

The comedian said he would still like children, but if he can’t have any of his own would be happy to adopt.

“I was game to spend 1.6 million baht a month on injections so I can have kids, as I don’t want to end up old with no one to care for me,” he said. The doctor has told him he now has the male hormones he needs, but not the sperm, but he still hopes to conquer the odds.

The comedian confirmed he had had a chance to make love. “I had sex for first time at age 35 ... I never thought it would be so much fun,” he said.

No ice party here
Ice
Actress Preechaya “Ice” Pongthananikorn has a fake news grievance after a website posted a fabricated report claiming she had been nabbed at a city drugs party.

Ice, who complained to Chokchai police and Technology Crime Suppression Division police last week, said the report was clearly fake as she was with her family on the day the report claimed she had been arrested.

“I am not involved in drugs, and on that day I was having a meal with my parents and went to the gym,” she said. Her mother and lawyer accompanied her.

The news story appeared at the site SystemThais, which appears to be new and still under construction. It contains news stories but little else. By the end of the week, Ice, ironically a former presenter for the Narcotics Control Board, said the owner had yet to remove the story, or get in touch.

“The claims are damaging. I would like to know what prompts people to make up such stories. What do they have to gain? There’s a lot of it about these days,” she said.

Police say they are close to tracking down the owner of the site.
