Pooh gay joke not funny, Fluke says 'foul' post fake, superstar boy sex claims

Comedy duo roasted for teasing son

A celebrity chef and TV host has criticised a comedy duo for teasing their teenage child on air about his gender identity.

Ajarn Yingsak Jonglertjesdawong said comedy duo Chukiart “Nui Chernyim” Eamsuk and his wife, Siriporn “Tuck” Yooyord, are wrong to pillory their teenage son, Pooh, on TV, for being soft like a girl.

The pair regularly tease the boy about whether he is a “real man” (gay or straight), with co-hosts and others joining in.

The running gag goes back at least a year, when Pooh declared he was set on being straight but might have been confused in the past.

Pooh appeared with his parents on the country music talent quest, Siang Sawan Pichit Lan, to mark Mother’s Day. Co-host Napapa “Patt” Tantrakul, who said she had known the family for 10 years, said she wanted Pooh to clear up a nagging doubt.
“Are you a man or not?” she asked.

“You’ve grown up now, and in this era of freedom you can be whatever you like,” she added, almost as an afterthought.

The lad takes the microphone and fumbles his words. “I am a man ... at the moment,” he said.

Patt presses him about his apparent uncertainty, to which he replies: “I am a real man now and will be in future, but in the past I might have been a bit confused.”

His mother, Tuck, who is present with Nui, feigns a fainting spell.
Feigned faint
Talking to the media last week, Nui admitted Pooh, 13, had since come to him, still confused about his gender identity. Media reports said the teasing on TV had since spilled into his private life.

“I am not sure what he is, but when he came to us it’s like he wasn’t sure of himself. He was seeking advice. But owing to the fact we are public figures, we have decided to speak up and get it over with,” Nui said.

The comedian said his son wasn’t stressed, simply seeking some direction. “I must admit I was shocked. I told him I would accept him whatever he wants to be. But if he wants to go as far as dressing up, we will probably have to talk first, because I want him to focus on his studies for now.

“Whatever he is, I am proud of him. I am sure he is a good kid, not just in our eyes but for the public at large.’’

Ajarn Yingsak, who came forward after Nui’s comments to reporters, said the boy’s parents should have stayed silent.

“He wants a place to stand in society. One day he could be a leader of us all. So why must he start his life being made an object of fun? And why are his parents making such comments to the media? Don’t do it to him, he’s just a kid,” Ajarn said.

“One day the boy might want to stand on his own two feet and ask society to accept him for what he is. Society should have a chance to get to know him that way.”

Ajarn Yingsak, whose outward appearance is feminine and who refers to himself as “mum” in interviews but who is married with adult children, said he was teased in the same way when he was young. His studies suffered and he didn’t want to go to school.

“I was teased because of my personality. Kids would ask if I was a tootsie. But I still grew up, married and had kids,” he said.

“My daughter is a tom but is studying for a doctorate. I don’t know what is wrong with society today where we have to worry about what gender someone is. You can be whatever you like. All we would ask is you contribute to society.”

As for the advice he offered his own children about how to cope with a girly-looking dad, Ajarn Yingsak said he was open with them.

“I told my kids, I don’t look like a man like other dads but I am the one who loves you the most in life. The love which families have is the most important of all.”

Nui, who insists Pooh was OK about him talking publicly about his gender identity, has promised he will now stop teasing his son on air.

‘Old, ugly’ jibe sparks celebrity row
Fluke
Singer Phachara “Fluke” Thammon has gone to police claiming netizens maligned him when he stepped into a fiery row between two gay personalities.

Fluke, former winner of the Star talent quest and Exact Entertainment star, went to police last week after a social media post emerged in which Fluke was quoted as saying he walked away from the industry at the height of his fame when he saw what it was really like.

“I admit I once rose to the very top of the profession ... but once I got there and realised what a foul lot they were, I begged to leave,” the post read.

Fluke says the post, which came to light after he weighed into a messy public row between presenter Phumipat “Tao TVPool” Thamapan and DJ Eakachai “DJ Eaky” Euesungkomsate, was bogus.

The admin of a Facebook site, Kam Kwan Chan Tai Din, which published the remark, said a follower sent it in. Fluke, who fell out in a contract dispute several years ago with Exact before going independent, earlier threw his support behind Tao in his row with DJ Eaky.

Commenting on a clip in which DJ Eaky struts a fashion catwalk dressed in women’s black underwear, outspoken Tao said Eaky, a former boyband singer, was too old and ugly to dress as a woman.

Those personal remarks on Maya TV sparked an angry exchange with DJ Eaky which culminated in Maya Channel head Kriengsak “Toy Ackner” Sakulchai suspending Tao later in the week.

Taking an early stand in favour of Tao, Fluke said talent is the key to survival in the industry.
“But there should be some standards as well. In front of the camera, it’s all just an act. Eaky is angry with Tao for his remarks, but he makes a living the same way, from gossiping and attacking others,” he said.

“Part of me would like to earn a living this way too, but I am not brave enough,” he admitted.
These remarks appear to have formed the basis of the made-up post attributed to Fluke.

As the row between Tao and Eaky threatened to spill into a second week, Fluke said he had merely alerted police to his grievance and had yet to escalate the matter to a formal complaint.

Man denies supplying boys to the stars

A Bangkok man accused of blackmailing a school student into sex is staying silent about claims he supposedly supplied superstars with young boys to satisfy their desires, police say.

The CIB’s Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division last week denied media reports that suspect Thanachpak “Win” Daengjanjaroen, arrested in Bang Na on July 23, had threatened to reveal all about his ties to prominent Thai entertainers whom he allegedly supplied with underage males for sex.

Mr Thanachpak, 37, also known as Sia Benz, is facing charges of rape and coercion; performing indecency on someone underage; abduction; and defamation in relation to a fourth form student.

The family of the 16-year-old private school student earlier complained the suspect blackmailed the boy into giving him sex over a period of almost a year.

The investigation involves the Anti-Trafficking Division because police suspect it is tied to human trafficking. The Technology Crime Suppression Division is also involved after the suspect, posing as “Aries” on the Line app, allegedly threatened to send clips of him and the young man having sex if he tried to call off their relationship.

The suspect bought the boy an iPhone and would pick him up at the Bang Na skytrain station in his black Mercedes-Benz for sex at a nearby hotel, the complaint says.

The deputy commander of the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, Mana Kleebsattabudh, said Mr Thanachpak admitted knowing the youngster and buying him the phone but denied all charges.

Contrary to media reports, he had said nothing about his supposed ties to entertainers. The suspect obtained bail and awaits his next court date.
