DOG DAY AFTERNOON, AMP'S LOVE DENIAL, MIKE 'SAVED'

Ploy's sisters spat with neighbour

Ploy
Outspoken actress Chermarn “Ploy” Boonyasak has leapt to the defence of her elder sister, after a neighbour accused her of assault in a row over their dogs.

Sinitha “Nun” Karun Boonyasak, a former actress, faces four charges including assault after her neighbour, Chon Buri chef Supisara “Fa” Saenyora, and she clashed in the aftermath of their dogs snapping at each other.

Nun
Nun has laid two charges of her own, of assault and letting a dog roam freely without care for others.

The pair live at Sri Nakarin Park housing village on Bang Na-Trat road where they also raise dogs at home. The animals had just fought, leaving Nun’s dog with injuries.

Nun said she approached Fa at the security guard’s booth to ask about the fight.

She said she went carrying a stick for her own protection, as she could see Fa was accompanied by her dogs, a golden retriever and a French bulldog.

“She exclaimed, ‘It wasn’t my dogs at fault!’ and her dogs lunged at me,” said Nun.

She tried to fight them off with her stick, but Fa managed to wrest it from her, and hit her on the back and her left arm with it.

The security guard tried to step in, but he was also struck by the stick. Nun said the dogs bit her several times, before the fight finally subsided.

Back at home, she called medics, as she needed help bandaging her leg wounds, which she publicised on social media. She claims Fa turned up with a kitchen knife, and rattled it against her gate.

Fa, for her part, claims she herself was the victim of assault, with Nun attacking her with the stick, not the other way around. She claims she has injuries to her left rib and on her back to prove it.

She also claims Nun sent a heavy around to her place to warn her against taking the matter further.

Faced with two dramatically conflicting claims about what happened, police say they are calling in witnesses. They have charged Nun with four counts based on Fa’s complaint, but also advised Nun to file complaints of her own.

Outspoken Ploy has rushed to her sister’s defence, asking why Fa was so keen to seek publicity over the affair.

“You claim my sister took a piece of wood and hit you about the head and back, and threw shoes at you,” she wrote. "Not only that, you claim she shouted at you, ‘Don’t you know I’m an actress?’

“Let me say, I think you’re storytelling ability is rubbish. The evidence is clear.

“My sister has the scars from your dog bites. Where’s your proof of injuries? You strode into the cop station and proclaimed you were in a dispute with ‘Ploy’s sister’, and called in nine media outlets to cover your story.

“Why would you do such a thing? Are you worried the police won’t be interested? Or do you want to be famous, create a scene, a drama?

“Don’t think that because you’re just an ordinary member of the public that you can get away with whatever you want.

“Speak the truth! Don’t give us your drama, stop acting the lead role."

Fa has yet to respond to the taunts, but both sides say they will fight on until the end. Police are investigating. -

2. Actor says there was no hanky-panky

Amp, Yok
Actor Pheerawas “Amp” Khunlanunwat admits his six-year relationship with a fellow Channel 7 actress is over, but denies he was seeing an actress newcomer on the sly.

Amp says he is willing to let time be the judge of events in the past few weeks when his girlfriend, Thunyagun “Yok” Thanakittananon, uncovered a Line exchange between him and Phatchaya “PP” Phiansamoe, a junior actress in the same stable, in which the two appear to be more than just friends. Amp and PP talk about wanting to share hugs and how much they miss each other.

After finding the Line exchange, Yok let fly on Instagram: “You’ve only just got here, and you’re already playing games with me, your senior,” a message intended for PP.

In a bluntly worded message for Amp: “I am not going to choose someone like you. They call this horny, promiscuous, slutty behaviour.”

After Amp and PP were deluged with criticism from Yok’s fan club, Amp initially insisted he had cleared the air with his girlfriend.

He and PP, who appears as his female lead in a recent Channel 7 soap opera, were just friends of different ages.

Later, however, he admitted Yok had asked to end their relationship, though in a defiant interview before the media late last week, Yok insisted it was Amp, not her, who had called the relationship off.

She said Amp had called her on the day she posted her barbs on Instagram. She criticised his behaviour, and he asked to call off their pairing. However, he also added he was going to Taiwan for a few days but on Jan 7 would come back and clear the air.

Yok said she waited 10 days for him to appear, but heard nothing. Meanwhile, friends of his passed on word that he wanted her to craft her words for the media so they spoke with a united voice on what led to their upset.

The actress said she wasn’t prepared to massage her words to make him look good.

“I admit it hasn’t ended well," she said. "We were together six years; I regret it and feel sad, as we had started to talk about sharing a future together.

“Yet on my worst day, he wasn’t there by my side. I waited for 10 days, only for him not to appear. I feel as if he isn’t really ready to take care of me.”

Asked to comment, Amp said if Yok wanted to call off their relationship, he had no choice but to go along. He insisted he had not stepped over the line in his friendship with PP.

He said he was happy for time to be the judge of whether he had done anything wrong. -

3. Actor says monkhood gave him strength

Mike, Maxwell, Sarah
Ailing singer and actor Pirat “Mike” Nitipaisankul says a stint in the monkhood has given him the strength to face life’s problems.

Mike, who collapsed twice at public functions in the past 12 months, says he was psychologically in a weak state, as he tended to think too much. A spell in the monkhood late last year taught him to let go, so now he thinks about lighter things, and tries to do it more often.

“Since my time in the monkhood I have learned more about myself," he said. "I know we can find happiness in ourselves. A monk asked me when I last looked at the stars. Now, I try to think about simple things.”

Mike has a young son, Maxwell, born out of wedlock to Italian-Thai model Sarah Casinghini, who raises the boy virtually alone.

He admitted he did not get to see his son over New Year, as he was busy with work. Sarah has moved to Phuket, which makes access harder. However, he can always take a look at him on social media if he feels in need of cheering up.

Mike, who travels regularly between Bangkok and China for acting work, and is also involved in a business venture with his parents which recently took him to Korea and Japan, said he met Maxwell before the trip.

“He’s naughty in a charming way, just like his dad was when he was young,” Mike said, referring to himself.

While he doesn’t know when he will get to see his son again, he is urging his fan club to ignore persistent jibes that he is an errant father with no time for his family.

He knows it’s not the truth, and after his stint in saffron robes, is less inclined to worry about it anyway.

“The problems in my life haven’t abated, I just worry about them less as I have learned how to handle them," he said. "We are born and die once, and this life is my own. As long as I am not doing anyone any harm, it’s enough. If anyone wants to criticise, let them go ahead."
