Socialite fight night, feeling faint, Aoffy's apology

Next battle due in court
Marnfah, Nam Petch
Former Miss Thailand second runner-up Sunannika “Nam Petch” Kritsanasuwan and a socialite are preparing to sue each other, days after a dramatic fight at a city nightspot.

Nam Petch claims socialite Ornpapat "Marnfah" Jantarasakha and two of her helpers assaulted her in the toilets of a Thong Lor nightspot on Sept 5 about 1am.

The two were visiting the nightspot in Soi 13 with friends when they happened to meet.

Nam Petch, who has laid a complaint with Thong Lor police, left it until almost 8pm that day to visit the station, claiming she was busy with work. Images on social media show her with light scratches.

Marnfah, who has bad blood with Nam Petch after a recent social media spat in which she claimed the former beauty queen was seeking publicity at her expense, admits the two confronted each other, but insists they did not come to blows.

Nam Petch told Thong Lor police one of Marnfah’s helpers held her arms behind her back in an arm lock as another filmed her on her smartphone. She claims Marnfah repeatedly slapped her.

"They employed mafia stand-over tactics. She wanted me to apologise for remarks I made in a recent interview, and took the clip to smear my name," she said.

She claims Marnfah shoo-ed out other guests from the toilets and blocked the door to stop others entering as the clash took place.

Marnfah, who is gathering evidence to lodge a police complaint of her own, said she was visiting the nightspot with a party of about 10 people. The incident occurred as she was about to leave.

"Nam Petch ran into me in the toilets with her shoulder. I asked if she was having a problem. She said, ‘Oh, are you going to hit me?’ and presented her face for me to strike.

"I asked her why I would want to hit her, as it would only make her famous."

Marnfah said she asked Nam Petch about a recent interview in which she claimed Marnfah had wrested from her a presenting job. Nam Petch insisted the reporter had twisted her words.

"At one point Nam Petch grabbed my arm. My secretary, who was present, swatted her arm off me. I urged him to cool down, and we walked out," she said.

She denied hitting her nemesis or asking her helpers to film the clash. She said at least four witnesses, two farang and two staff, witnessed the encounter.

Marnfah said Nam Petch’s claims of mafia tactics were like something out of a TV lakorn.

"A person with my education wouldn't lower herself to hitting someone like her. The final scene of the soap will be a sizzler. I am sure it will end with her squeezing a few tears out," she said. Thong Lor police are investigating. -

Mike collapses under questioning

Mike, post-collapse
The former lover of singer and actor Pirat "Mike" Nitipaisankul, and mother of his son, is shrugging off his collapse before a city function last week as he was responding to reporters’ questions about being an errant dad.

Mike swooned and fell moments after journalists asked when he would get around to signing the birth certificate of his son, born out of wedlock to Italian-Thai model Sarah Casinghini, who raises the boy virtually alone.

He was attending an industry awards function, soon after travelling back from China where he is making a lakorn.

Mike started to tear up as he was asked whether he is doing his best as a father. Sarah has complained previously that, a year after the child’s birth, he has yet to sign the birth certificate, despite saying he would.

She is unhappy about the cloak of silence which Mike attempted to throw over the child’s birth when she went public with the news last year. He initially refused to comment on her claims, and after eventually admitting he was the likely father went back on his decision not to seek a DNA test.

He admitted Sarah was doing a good job as a mum and said he has "set a process in train" to formally acknowledge he was the father, although it had yet to result in him signing the certificate.

"Even if I haven't signed yet, the whole world knows I am Maxwell's dad. When Sarah and I talk about these issues, we have no problems. We don't argue," he said, insisting it was a family matter and should remain private.

He also admitted cutting the contribution he makes to the child’s maintenance, from 50,000 baht a month previously to about 30,000 baht a month now. He said he had just opened a new business and expenses were high.

Mike collapsed soon after. Media images showed two men holding Mike upright as they helped him out of the event. His hands were gnarled and he had trouble keeping his head up.

Mike visited a local hospital, where the doctor declared he was fit to go home. Mike’s manager said the actor and singer was getting little rest and had nothing to eat all day. Sarah said friends had sent her news about Mike’s collapse.

"I felt pretty indifferent, as he gets sick like that often. I didn’t place him under any pressure. In fact, I am in no hurry for him to sign the birth papers. He can sort that out with his son when he gets older.

"Nor am I worried about financial support. Anything he gives is a bonus, as I work and am raising Maxwell as a single mum," she said. -

Drama over Miss Maxim's attraction

Aoffy, M
A Miss Maxim beauty contest finalist has apologised to her parents amid claims she wrested away the boyfriend of net idol and singer Thantaros "LookNoo" Charoenchipuksa.

Media images show Orapan "Aoffy Maxim" Dansiriwattanakun, 26, prostrating before her parents as she offered a humble apology for the saga, in which an explicit internet chat between herself and her new flame, Krairerk "M" Ahpakajorn was leaked on social media.

Aoffy, who has been hammered on social media for her role in the saga, denies wresting M away from LookNoo, insisting the pair were already drifting apart.

However, she admits she had yet to tell her own boyfriend, "Bass", that she was thinking of making a change.

Nor had M told LookNoo that he was still seeing Aoffy, after she caught him out being unfaithful with her one time before.

LookNoo, who exposed the chat on social media after finding out M was still playing around, said if they wanted to see each other, they should do it openly, not on the sly.

She did not identify them by name, though they were forced to come forward after internet sleuthing pinpointed the likely culprits.

"You really want it, so go for it. And here I was thinking you would understand the way another woman was feeling," LookNoo said, referring to Aoffy.

"I will forgive you in the next life, so you can’t come back and make my life a mess again."

Aoffy denied she and M had moved too fast, saying she was entitled to seek out "true love". Bass had looked after her well, but they viewed life in different ways.

"I wasn’t ready to tell him I had found someone new," denying she wanted to keep both men on the hook.

"As for claims we've only just met but have already had sex ... well, I'm an ordinary person," referring to her chat with M, in which they talk about having sex three times a day. "I am sorry for those I have let down," she said.

Writing on social media, M also has apologised to LookNoo, saying all the blame rests with him.

"I thought of all the years we spent together, and am sorry I never told you to your face. I will always worry about you," he told LookNoo.
