Writs start flying, hate sites spat, sleepyhead clip

The doctor speaks out
Sek, Angun
The doctor who formerly treated rocker Sek Loso for his hard drugs habit is now taking him to court for defamation.

The deputy director of the Thanyarak Institute in Pathum Thani, Angun Pataragorn, says Sek defamed him on Facebook after Sek’s estranged wife escorted him to the family home earlier this month.

His lawyer, Worapop Tapsat, yesterday filed papers with the Criminal Court in Ratchada against the rock star. The court set Nov 23 as the first hearing date.

Sek lashed out after his estranged wife, Wiphakorn "Kan" Sukpimai, escorted the doctor to their home and confiscated his gun. Accusing Dr Angun of invading his home and meddling in his marital problems, Sek abused him and his family on Instagram.

In 2012, Dr Angun was in charge of Sek's case when the rocker was admitted to the institute to treat his hard drugs habit.

Speaking in the aftermath of Dr Angun’s house visit, Sek said doctors at the institute gave him too many sedatives, restrained him physically and paraded him before the media in a semi-drugged state.

Sek has threatened to sue both Dr Angun and Kan over the incident.

Dr Angun is a casualty of Sek’s deepening row with Kan, which culminated last week with Kan asking him for a divorce, and tendering a public apology to Dr Angun.

"I'm sorry you have to go through this ordeal because of me," Kan wrote on Facebook.

"I truly had nowhere else to turn. I understand if you want nothing more to do with us. Please let me say how moved I was that you were willing to help."

In her comments to Sek, she said: "I want to end it. Make a time so we can get a divorce. This is giving me a headache. I'm not free to answer the phone. If you have anything to say, put it on Facebook. We’ve all suffered enough."

The couple's row started after Kan, who has left the family home, criticised Sek on social media. She accused him of replaying "bad incidents" from their past, sleeping around, destroying her property and harming her physically.

"Don’t hallucinate too much, or you’ll end up back where you were before," she said, referring to his drug habit.

Lawyer Mr Worapop said if Sek objected to his wife’s decision to take Dr Angun to their home, he could always file a complaint of his own.

"It was not a home invasion, as Sek’s wife escorted my client there. Sek was present, but didn’t speak. Twenty minutes later, Dr Angun left," he said.

"He has no justification for lashing into Dr Angun’s family the way he did," Mr Worapop said. Sek’s Facebook remarks referred in uncharitable terms to Dr Angun’s provenance.

Earlier in the week, Kan renewed her attacks on her former husband, publishing an excerpt of a Line chat in which Sek gloats of sending pictures of his penis to Kan’s younger sister every night.

"You won’t stop your bullying behaviour … and you’re sending [pictures of] your pubic hairs to my sister on top of that! I doubt you have any brain left at all, or even any humanity. You’re an animal in a man’s body. You’ll disparage other people. Why don’t you look at your own family first!"

Sek responded comically to Kan’s taunts, saying he felt embarrassed, as his member looked smaller than it should. He has yet to respond to Dr Angun’s decision to sue. -

Leaked clip is old news

Dome, Kusjung
Actor and DJ Pakorn "Dome" Lum denies being behind the leak of a audio clip in which his former girlfriend appears to admit having a hand in creating hate sites against him.
The seven-minute clip, a conversation between Dome and his former fling, TV presenter and actress Jirantanin "Kusjung" Pitakporntrakul, emerged last week.

Dome admitted secretly recording it to serve as evidence in a police complaint which he laid last year after critics started an internet campaign against him. However, he denied leaking the clip, saying the news was now old.

"If I had wanted to hurt someone’s reputation, I would have released it last year when I made my complaint," he said.

Kusjung, for her part, admits a friend of hers created a Facebook site to discredit him, but insists she asked her friend to take it down.

In the clip, Dome accuses Kusjung of putting up her friend to create the hate sites because she felt miffed that he had now found a new girlfriend. He warned legal consequences could follow.

"I've nothing but good memories about our relationship, and have portrayed it positively in the media," he complained, asking why she would want to hurt him.

Dome’s police complaint said his critics created Instagram and Facebook sites to defame him and his new girlfriend, singer Metal Sukkhao.

One Instagram site, Harlemdome, described his exploits with a bevy of former girlfriends, while the anti-Metal site, @antimetalmetal, purportedly written by a former boyfriend, accused the singer of having an abortion, a claim she denied.

Going before the media on Friday, Kusjung insisted it wasn’t a leaked clip, as Dome told her he intended releasing it. After he complained, she contacted her friends and told them to stop spreading bad stories about him.

"My friends were merely acting to protect me," she said.

"Dome called repeatedly at the time and pressured me to admit to being behind the campaign. The final time we talked, I cut him short so I could be rid of the problem, and admitted I did it.

"He told me he would release that part of the clip. I suspect it has been released now because he assumes I'm behind all the Instagram accounts which criticised him and his new girlfriend, even though it’s not true," she said. -

Just trying to grab 40 winks

Rome
Actor Patchata "Rome" Nampan says he barely recognises himself in a clip of a recent public outing in which critics accused him of being drunk.

Rome went before the cameras last week to apologise for the night-time incident, which was filmed by the media.

In it, he had to be led around by helpers and looked as if he was having trouble staying awake.

"I had taken too many sleeping pills, mixed with medication for an infection. I fell asleep in the car on the way there and when someone woke me I was only semi-conscious," he said.

In the clip, Rome whoops like a cowboy. When reporters ask him what’s wrong, he says he’s working too hard and isn’t getting enough sleep. Cameras film him being led away by nurses.

Rome said he had battled allergy problems for 10 years. He also works irregular hours and sleeps at odd times.

After his embarrassing outing two weeks ago, he spent five days in hospital, after which his family took him to the North to rest. He returned to work on a soap opera last week.

"I have seen the clip of myself. I barely recognise that person as me," he said, adding he can't remember what happened that night.

"No alcohol was involved. That day I managed to get through a whole panel of sleeping pills. I've told myself I can’t afford to sleep on the way to functions any more. I felt as if someone had just woken me and put me to work, even though I was still drowsy from sleep."
