Petch, Pinky |
Actress Savika ''Pinky''
Chaiyadej has married a millionaire Pattaya property developer and film-maker,
Itthi ‘‘Petch’’ Chavalittamrong, and promptly declared she intends leaving the
industry.
Pinky, who entered the industry
as a child, says she is willing to abide by her new husband’s wishes that she
stay at home and prepare for a child.
‘‘I have worked for more than 20
years and in the next phase of my life will have to focus on caring for us
both.
‘‘But I’m not going anywhere. You
can still follow me on Instagram. But you will probably see less of me on film
and TV,’’ she said.
The pair married on Friday in an
Islamic ceremony at the Cove Hotel in Pattaya, owned by Petch’s family. The
party later moved to the Dusit Thani hotel in the same city, where Petch had
created a French-style model garden as part of the celebrations.
Guests included sexy singer and
actress Suteewan '‘Baitoey’' Thaveesin, and actress and model Panward ''Peuy''
Hemmanee, who last year herself converted to Islam to marry Nithi ''Pop''
Boonyaratglin, the son of former coup leader Sonthi.

Pinky said she had cancelled work
in five lakorns and movies so she could start her life with Petch. The pair
will travel to France for a month-long honeymoon where they will also hold a
200 million baht party for about 40 friends and family.
Petch said they plan to start a
family in the next year or so.
‘‘I am not sure whether a woman
who is pregnant or preparing for a family should work. But in my opinion she
should stop. I don’t want people viewing my wife as a commodity. The most
important thing in life is family. Once we have a child we can talk about it
again, if Pinky really wants to return to work,’’ he said.
Petch said that according to
Muslim faith, his marriage dowry was worth only 125 baht. In fact, he has given
his new wife a 7-carat diamond ring, cash, and other jewels, though he wouldn’t
put a value on the gifts.
Pinky’s mother Oiy, who welcomed
the pair’s nuptials, said he would return to Pinky whatever dowry Petch gives
her.
‘‘Don’t place too much store by
news that Pinky won’t work again, as nothing is for certain. She could always
work behind the scenes, as Petch, who also makes films, has many projects on
the boil,’’ she said.
She admitted her son-in-law might
come across as a stickler for order, but she has urged her daughter to adapt.
‘‘I have told her she must show tolerance and
patience now she is married. Time rather than money is the key. My life is my
daughter, and I am worried about her, as we have never been apart before. I
entrust my daughter’s life to Petch. I hope the pair are happy,’’ she said in
tears.-

Actress Sucharat ‘‘Aom’’ Manaying
is mulling legal action after an unkind soul pasted her image onto that of a
woman who appears in a sexy clip.
Aom said she is surprised anyone
would link her to the clip, supposedly that of two Thai stars.
The young woman’s face in the
video cannot be seen. Wearing a white T-shirt saying ‘‘Love is in the air’’,
she is jumping up and down in front of a young man filming her, telling him she
feels aroused. Eventually she strips.
The clip, which aired on social
media last week, is supposedly that of stars whose names begin with Thai
letters for ‘‘M’’ and ‘‘O’’.
A handful of stars approached by
the media quickly denied any connection. Most attention has focused on singer
and actor Pirat “Mike” Nitipaisankul and his friend Aom, who also deny any link
to the clip.
Apparently unconvinced, one
netizen pasted an image of Aom’s face onto an image of the woman in the clip
and spread it on social media.
Aom said she was stunned to find
herself linked to the video. ''I asked myself if I had done anything wrong to
upset anyone, and I can’t think of anything. I don't even sound like her.
‘‘If I found out who was
responsible for the editing job, I would take legal action, as I would like to
protect my reputation,’’ she said.
Mike dismissed speculation he was
the young man filming the clip. ''I have never heard a woman speak such
dialogue before in my life,'' he said in a light-hearted response on Instagram.
''Don't try anything like this
with me. I am not one who enjoys being aroused. I get straight in and start the
pummelling myself!’’ he joked. -

Former singer Ratthasart
‘‘Pepper’’ Korrasud is apologing after refusing to take a breath alcohol test
when stopped by police this month.
Pepper, who now teaches
information technology and oversees the sanook.com website, was stopped in the
Klong San area on Sept 5 when police noticed his vehicle weaving on the road.
The former Grammy singer from the
band UHT was taking home a young woman friend after a meal. He refused a
request by checkpoint police that he take a breath alcohol test, claiming he
has no confidence in the devices. Police negotiated with him for an hour
without success.
Finally, with traffic starting to
build up at the checkpoint, police threatened to charge him with obstruction.
Pepper finally agreed to the test, but insisted it be carried out in front of
witnesses.
Police took him to the station
and gave him the test. The first two times, it showed no alcohol in his system.
The third reading said he had alcohol/blood content of just 2 milligrams/100
ml, way below the 50mg/100ml limit. Police took a note of the incident and
released him.
Pepper said he has bad memories
of incident some years before when Makkasan police stopped him for drink
driving. He was afraid the bad luck he met on that occasion had come back for
another visit. ‘‘Still, I have said sorry to everyone involved for causing a
nuisance,’’ he said. -

Model Tadsika ‘‘Kratai’’ Yutimit
insists she has takes no men to her condo, despite a neighbour’s impressions to
the contrary.
The former Miss Maxim beauty
pageant winner complained to police after finding a notice attached to her door
with a drawing of a mortar and pestle. It read: ‘Don’t do any pounding around
here!’
Kratai said she was upset to find
the message, as she was seldom at home and as far as she was aware, seldom
makes noise. She found it on her door three times before she decided to
complain.
‘‘The message can be read as
having a double meaning. I don’t own a mortar and pestle, and do no cooking at
home, so I am not pounding the chilies if that’s what the complaint means,’’
she said.
She also denied taking any men to
her room, so was not making any noise with male friends either.
‘‘After contacting police I spoke
to the condo office, and we took a look at the CCTV footage. The culprit was a
neighbour of mine, who now admits he was mistaken and the noise actually came
from another room,’’ she said.
Her neighbour was not willing to
appear before the media, but sent his wife instead. She posed in media images
with her arms around Aom’s waist, looking sorry for the fuss. The model said
she was prepared to accept the apology and the matter was now at an end.
