NO THANK YOU, ON THE RECORD, NOT TO BE SNIFFED AT

Tono, Thank
Outspoken actress Pattarida "Tangmo'' Patcharaweerapong is in trouble again after she criticised a former boyfriend for posing with her current love at the anti-government protests.

Tangmo said she couldn't understand why ex-love Pongsakorn "Thank'' Mahaparaya, stepson of Democrat Party bigwig Korn Chatikavanij, would ask to pose for a picture with her current boyfriend, singer Pakin "Tono'' Kumvilaisak, when the pair do not know each other.

The Channel 7 actress known for her forthright manner said she was wary of criticism on social media that she put Tono up to it.

Tangmo and Tono have suffered a savage fanclub backlash since they started dating a few months ago, which Tangmo says is only now starting to abate.

"Tono's fans are saying he will do anything to please me, including posing with my former boyfriend,'' she said unhappily.

"In fact, Thank asked to pose for the picture with Tono; I had nothing to do with it,'' Tangmo said.

"I've been attending the protest at Ratchadamnoen Avenue almost every day, and have barely seen Thank. I ran into him on the same day that he asked Tono for the picture.

"I don't know why Thank would do such a thing, when he and Tono don't know each other. He greeted my father, but said not a word to me. I'm not criticising him, I'm just confused,'' she said.

Tangmo and her former student-activist father spoke against the amnesty bill at the Democracy Monument protest rally on Nov 5. The same week, she took along Tono, who posed for pictures in the crowd.

Writing on Instagram, actor Thank said he asked for the picture with Tono simply to drum up publicity for the protest.

`"This actress [Tangmo] says she goes to the protest every day but had never seen me there. I'm working below the stage, not out front posing for pictures like some celebrity, trying to make myself look good,'' he wrote caustically.

His parents, Korn and Vorakorn Chatikavanij, invited Tangmo to join them, he said.

"The only reason you are able to be there is because my parents asked you. How about showing me some respect?'' he said, referring to Tangmo.

Netizens are unimpressed with the exchange, saying protest action on the streets is driving the country to the brink, but Tangmo is more interested in protecting her own reputation.

"Tangmo likes turning small matters into huge dramas,'' one wrote. ``I'm sure she would like to think she has two men fighting over her.''

"She should shut up now, before she causes any more trouble for Tono,'' said another.

Some neitzens are just as upset with Thank.

"You can save all this personal stuff for later. You should show some respect for the protest movement, because they have helped you and your parents get to where you are now,'' one wrote.

Tangmo, who says she is close to Thank's parents, has declined to comment on his barbed response, saying she doesn't want to detract from the street protests.

"His parents are busy doing their duty for the country, which is much more important,'' she said. -

Art, Namfon
Actor Pasut "Art'' Banyam says he can't bear to listen to a voice recording of his girlfriend admitting she has strayed.

His girlfriend, actress Patcharin "Namfon'' Jukrairuanpol, apologises to another woman for getting to know her boyfriend too well, in a clip released anonymously to the media last week.

The woman called Namfon, and without identifying herself, attacked her for playing around with her boyfriend. A second sound clip of the pair exchanging heated words emerged on Friday, following a similar theme.

"I'm sorry it happened,'' Namfon tells the woman. "It was my mistake. I really don't know how it occurred, but I promise I won't meddle again,'' she said.

"The other party is unimpressed. You carry on as if it is a joke, yet you have a boyfriend of your own, so you must know how it feels,'' she retorts.

When approached early in the week, Art confirmed it was his girlfriend in the clip, but said he would rather she spoke to reporters herself.

"She intends on talking to you about it in a few days,'' he said.

"I haven't heard it all the way through, as I don't want to know what's in it.''

Two days later, Namfon spoke out about the recording, saying the woman who called her was angry, so she apologised. "The clip dates from a time when I was having problems with Art. I confided in a guy I know about our relationship. We work together, and drew close. However, we were never more than friends, and Art knew about it from the outset.''

She did not know her male friend, who she would not identify, was seeing someone.

Earlier, Art said he and Namfon have decided to take a step back from their relationship, though he denied the clip was to blame. They have been together for five years.

"We need some more time to accept each other's behaviour,'' he said.

Art himself has been in trouble for straying, after a ladyboy called Ploy last year revealed Art had met her outside her condo at night.

While Art admitted seeing her, he said it was merely to satisfy a bet with friends about her identity. He denies asking her for oral sex as Ploy alleged, though he was later forced to apologise to Namfon for the indiscretion.

Some reports suggested the pair's latest stand-off started after Namfon checked Art's mobile phone to make sure he was still being faithful. She entered the wrong security code, and ended up locking the device.

Art denied it, saying the real problem lies with communication.

"My problem with Namfon is that even after all these years, she won't call me to say what she's doing, where she is.

"As far as Namfon's complaints about me are concerned, I like to go riding on my motorbike with friends, and I can stay away on trips to the provinces for days. Namfon has yet to get used to it,'' he said.

He added that he and Namfon were still talking, just more distant than before. -

Aum, A
Actress Patcharapa "Aum'' Chaichuea says she is obsessed with cleanliness, so much so that she will personally sniff every table in a som tam restaurant she opened with her manager friend.

Celebrity manager Supachai "A'' Sriwichit last week published a picture on Instagram of Aum bending down and sniffing the tables of a restaurant in Bangkok in which both of them hold shares.

"I was barely off the plane at Suvarnabhumi airport when I received a call from Aum asking me to meet her at the restaurant,'' he wrote.
The sniff test
"I thought she might be inviting me for a meal, but no. When I arrived she asked me to clean the floor and follow her as she sniffed the tables and chairs, to make sure they were clean.

"If they didn't pass the test, I had to wipe them down, and then she would sniff them again to make sure. It was an ordeal!'' he joked.

Aum admits she has a problem with dirt.

"I'm obsessed with cleanliness. I eat som tam every day, and even at other restaurants I will wait until no one's watching and sniff the table,'' she said.

"My own place isn't that clean, but I have this drive to make sure other places look smart,'' she joked.
