Lua Fua (Jemsak Jaegthipnang ) says he is baffled as to why his wife would lay a police assault complaint against him, as he is the injured party, not her.
Trithipayanipa "Kai'' Noja last week sought the help of the Pavena Hongsakula Foundation for Women and Children, saying her husband had beaten her repeatedly over their six-year relationship.
She said the couple argued often and their most recent fight left her with a broken bone behind her eyebrow and bruises over her body.
Ms Trithipayanipa, who has also laid an assault complaint with Kannayao police against her husband, said Lua Fua had thrown her and her children out of their home before, but she had put up with the abuse until she could stand it no longer.
She said he treated her as a mere housekeeper, paying her 300 baht or less a day to look after the children.
He liked to go absent from home, or come back drunk. When she asked him about it, he would respond angrily.
Lua Fua, who denied assaulting his wife, on Tuesday went before the media with the couple's two daughters from his first marriage to counter the claims.

My wife has a hot temper, he said. She had deliberately smashed his mobile phone, and driven a motorbike into the back of his car.
"I didn't hit her, though I admit we often argue. As a man, I must take whatever she gives me. If she starts hitting me, I push her away. The injuries which she showed the media did not come from me,'' he said.
He denied reports he gave his wife just 300 baht a day to make ends meet. "We are together, so my wallet is also hers. However, if she took 5,000 baht and spent it, I would ask,'' he said.
Lua Fua said he runs a restaurant, which is not yet finished, and does his best to provide a good home. His wife would often go absent with the children.
"I take the kids to school, pay their fees. I'm doing my best as a dad. On the day before we argued on Sept 28, it was my younger daughter's birthday. My wife refused to come,'' he said.
"We live together as a family, and all I ask is that she loves the kids equally,'' he said.
"When we argued, I was left with injuries over my body,'' he said, showing pictures of scratch wounds on his chest.
"I'm baffled as to why she would complain about me, as we shared a bed together only the night before. Our customers saw us sitting together that day in the restaurant.
"She left the next day saying she wanted to make merit at a temple. The first I heard about her assault complaint was when a friend alerted me to the story,'' he said.
Lua Fua said the Pavena Foundation should take more care about the information it releases, as his wife's claims had hurt his reputation.
"I know your foundation, and it does good work to care for women and kids. Well, here are my two kids. How about you care for them as well,'' he said.
"I hear that my wife now wants to drop her complaint, and clear up the matter with me.
"But she has yet to return, and I do not know where she and my son have gone,'' he said.
His wife was a Facebook addict, and some of her entries worried him, he said.
"She writes as if she is still single, and wants people to feel sorry for her. She publishes pictures of herself and the kids eating a simple meal of instant noodles. In fact, I have provided for the whole table,'' he said.
Lua Fua's daughters spoke up in their father's defence. They said the injuries which Ms Trithipayanipa said she suffered during the couple's latest quarrel in fact resulted from an accident when she fell down the stairs.
On Wednesday, Ms Trithipayanipa went on television to insist her husband had assaulted her.
She was not willing to return to him, but would look after their son alone. She hopes Lua Fua will pay her some money first so she can carry on with her life. -

his fans for taking advantage of a fanclub meet to talk about a network
marketing venture he has entered.
James called a party at a city hotel on Oct 1 to celebrate attaining the first 100,000 followers on his Facebook page. About 200 young members of his fan club attended.
Fans who complained at the Pantip webboard said James performed just three songs at the party, and seemed more interested in getting his fans to join him in his direct marketing venture.
James is thought to have plugged the Unicity range of products. Three days after the function, fans who had expressed an interest in what they heard say they were contacted by people acting for James, asking if they wanted to know more.
Speaking to the media last week, James said he told his audience repeatedly that the party and his network marketing speech which followed were separate. However, he admitted that publicity for the event did not mention that fans would be told about his business venture.
"I said very clearly, three times, that we were entering a different part of the evening, and those who were not interested could leave,'' he said.
"There were no locked doors, and no pressure was put on anyone to stay,'' he said.
"I have discovered that this venture is good for me, and I wanted to share the benefits with my fan club,'' he said.
James' fans say they were disappointed at being misled. Most reactions were negative, accusing James of exploiting his reputation as a performer to lure young people into helping him make money.
"You took advantage of the fact that your fans want to get close to you and then when they omplain, you claim you did it out of love,'' wrote one.
"Isn't it all a bit too simple, James? Your fans are deserting you,'' he wrote.
James, a former Grammy singer who now performs as an independent artist, said he was happy to sacrifice his own reputation for the good of his fans.
"Let's put it like this. If I didn't believe in the product, would I dare to recommend it to anyone?'' he said.
"I'm just presenting a proposal, and relating my experience. I have studied the topic deeply, and know the product well,'' he said. -

Actress Patcharapa "Aum'' Chaichuea is making light of friends'
attempts to suggest that she and socialite admirer Pithan "Amp'' Ongkorsit are
getting ready to marry.
Superstar Aum and her friends recently organised a birthday party for millionaire businessman Amp, and were quick to publish photos from the event on Instagram. Some went a bit too far for Aum, and hours after they went up, some of the pictures quickly disappeared again.
In one picture, Aum is pictured kissing a two-tiered white cake, which observers said looked remarkably like a wedding cake. A small male doll appears standing, and a female doll sits on its edge. In another shot, Amp is holding Aum around the waist.

out together, after months in which Aum refused to commit.

May Feuangarom and her long-time boyfriend, presenter Kanchai "Noom'' Kamnerdploi, have gone out for years, but have never been quite ready to tie the knot.
Asked to comment on the party pics, Aum said she and Amp were still just talking rather than seeing each other romantically. "May is probably just teasing, as we have been waiting so long for the other May to marry that we are tired out and want someone else to cheer,'' she joked.
She and her friends chose the birthday cake together. "We're trying to convey the idea that the man and woman on the top look cute, not that they are about to wed,'' she said.
She and her friends had also chosen a birthday present for Amp, but she would not be provide details.
"It's a one-of-a-kind, unique in the world, but we need to obtain licensing permission first,'' she said mysteriously. "I will tell you about it when it is finished.''
