Tao's cool-headed hopes, Peuy's chest-press, Prem's S&M try-out, Nathan submits

Tao
Bad boy actor/singer Somchai "Tao" Kemklat is a proud dad after his wife gave birth to their first child, a girl.

Athamart "Yui" Attsawawimol gave birth to baby Somjai, weighing 2.97kg, and 51cm tall, early on Monday. She gave birth by Caesarian section.

Husband and wife were asked when they would like the child delivered, and chose Monday.

Thais believe children born on a Monday are cool-headed.

Baby Somjai
"We chose Monday so Somjai will be cool-headed, and charming," said Tao. "I was in the delivery room as she gave birth. It was just such an amazing thing, a miracle...it is not something I can put into words," he told reporters at the hospital.

Chiang Mai native and former teen star Tao, who is facing an assault charge in the Lampang district court, is known as anything but cool-headed.

Tao and Yui, a Bangkok magazine marketing executive, married in a lightning wedding at the marriage registry last year. Since moving to Bangkok to make a fresh start, he has found work in a stage show, and also has a movie in upcoming release.

However, his past continues to haunt him.

In January 2009, Lampang grocery store owner Wirachart "Kota" Densirikhun, 56, complained to police that Tao beat him up at a roadside eatery as he was tucking into a bowl of noodles and dumplings.

Two weeks ago, they met at the Lampang district court for conciliation talks. The meeting lasted five hours, but the pair failed to reach a deal. Kota's witnesses were questioned, and on Wednesday, Tao's own witnesses will have their say.

Tao denies the assault charge, and insists the head and body injuries sustained by Kota that day were an accident.

Kota says he has withdrawn his case before the Civil Court, including a request for 500,000 baht in compensation, and apology in the Thai press.

"Tao says he will fight the case all the way, so I will too - in the Criminal Court," he said. -

Peuy
Sexy actress/model Panward"Peuy" Hemmanee sells her flesh to support her family, and makes no bones about it.

"I am where I am today because I am seen as sexy. I pose for sexy magazine shoots because my fans expect it. It makes me money, which I spend on supporting my mother," she said, explaining her revealing cover shoot for the latest Phuying magazine.

Peuy appears bare-breasted, but conceals her private bits by pressing them against the chest of a young man in a swimming costume.

Asked if she really did take off her bikini top, and stand half-naked against a male model, Peuy denies they ever drew that close.

"The picture was retouched. I was wearing underwear, silicone, and a bathing costume, though you can't see those in the pictures," she says.

Last month, Peuy put on a sexy display as part of a motorcycle promotion at a city department store.

While draping herself on the seat of a motorcycle, the "bike wash girl" threw her right leg into the air, revealing what many viewers took to be naked flesh - or at best her underwear - peaking between her leg and the skimpy pair of denim shorts she was wearing.

"It's just a coincidence that those two events are so close together. This was my first bikini photo shoot in two-three years," she said.

She admits her parents were shocked when they saw the pictures. She was surprised herself, as she failed to inspect the images before they appeared in the magazine.

"Are you afraid people will think you are doing it for money?" one reporter asked.

"I am not worried, because it's true. My fans like it, and it gives me money to support myself and my mother."

Her former boyfriend, singer/actor Anattapol "R" Sirichumsaeng, says Peuy's image may be heading too far down the sexy track. However, he would like fans to regard her photoshoots merely as work.

"She's old enough to make these decisions for herself," he said. He liked the pictures, and thought they were well done. -

Prem
Socialite Prem Busarakamwong has joined the trend for parading in S&M leather outfits, but says he draws the line at wearing skimpy bathing costumes, as his father might cut off his inheritance.

At a city function for a travel bag company, Prem appeared in a Hannibal Lecter-style facemask, leather gloves, harness and leather collar.

He stripped off the items piece by piece, while keeping the bottom half - a pair of black jeans - intact.

Prem, previously engaged to superstar Tata Young and forever dodging rumours that he is gay, appeared in an even more compromising outfit last November, when he dressed as a girl for the Superstar reality TV show.
Prem's old look
Prem donned a white wig, stockings, mini-skirt, tunic and high-heeled shoes for a cabaret challenge, upsetting his father, boxing promoter Banjong Busarakamwong.

Banjong, who was present in the audience as contestants - including his son - paraded about as women, said he was unhappy to see his son wearing female garb. "I am thinking of cutting off his inheritance," he joked.

Prem, an occasional actor and model, helps run his father's boxing camps in Pattaya and Bangkok. Banjong said he asked his son when he entered the entertainment industry to avoid dressing as a ladyboy, or in any other silly outfits.

Prem says his father's list of cannot-do's also includes modelling in skimpy underpants or bathing costumes. Nor does his dad want to find any leaked videoclips of his only son getting up to anything naughty.

Prem says he agreed to don the leather bondage gear because it was the "in" thing to do. Last month, Channel 3 actor Sarawut "Aon" Martthong posed in bondage gear for Image magazine. He was bound at the hands, and wearing a pair of black briefs.

Prem says he is game to take on challenges, but turned down a suggestion by organisers that he don a pair of tight leather pants for the bag function, as his Dad might rap him over the head.

His Mum was present in the audience. He wanted to spare her feelings as well. -

4.

Accused fraudster and former singer Nathan Oman has reported to Bangkok police to answer a charge that he lied about his age to obtain a 2006 outstanding youth award.

He denied the charge, saying his former entertainment label, RS Promotion, put his name forward along with those of other artists. He just went along with what they said.

The Department for Social Development and Human Security is taking legal action against Nathan, and has laid a complaint with the Metropolitan Police.

Nathan was called twice previously to hear the charges - on Feb 5 and Feb 16 - but his lawyer called to say Nathan was tied up with an extortion case in Amnat Charoen.

Nathan is accused of borrowing 300,000 baht from his former live-in housekeeper, Saman Sukserm, and failing to pay it back.

In Bangkok, Nathan refused to answer reporters' questions, deferring to his lawyer, Pirawan "Boo" Cholpitakpong.

Bangkok Deputy Police Commissioner Amnuay Nimmano said if Nathan admitted the charge, police could take him to the District Court the next day.

It carried a charge of up to six months in jail, and/or a fine of 1000 baht. Because the alleged offence was minor, he was free to go without bail.

Nathan, however, declined, saying he would prefer to fight the charge, as he believed he had done nothing wrong.
