Love triangle of the mind, Ball in suspense, Ble finds love

No body crush on Kan
Kan during the standoff
A psychiatric rescuer worker has taken issue with claims by rocker Sek Loso’s former wife that she was “set up” when she stormed his home recently in an attempt to evict his new girlfriend.

Theerapong “Jod” Laksanawong, who was in the same team of psychiatric workers from Srithanya Hospital in Nonthaburi who recently took Sek into care after a marathon FB live session sparked concerns for his safety, was called back to Sek’s family home again on Dec 23. This time, however, he was acting on behalf of Sek’s girlfriend, who said his ex-wife, Wiphakorn “Kan” Sukpimai, was in need of help.

Kan turned up at Sek’s Sai Mai home on Dec 23 in a bid to evict his girlfriend, former model Apisaya “Eve” Pattanaworasap, and reclaim the property for herself and the couple’s three children. Sek called Kannayao police, and during the tense encounter, which Kan broadcast on FB live, Kan apparently succumbed to the stress of the moment and threatened to do herself harm.

Mr Jod said he and his team turned up after Eve called them for help. She said Kan had smashed a mirror and was holding a shard of glass to her throat, to stop police and rescue workers drawing near.

Kan admits holding them at bay with the broken glass, but insists she was merely defending herself, and that the rescue workers, presumably with Sek’s help, had laid a plot to goad her into extreme actions, with the result she would have to be admitted to psychiatric care, just as Sek was before her.

Denying Kan’s claims that he and his team had tried to take her into care by holding her in a body lock, Mr Jod said no rescue workers dared draw near. The two-hour stand-off ended when her ailing father was called to defuse the scene.

“We filmed the entire encounter but I will not release it out of respect for her rights,” Mr Jod said.

“She probably can’t remember me (from last time when I took Sek away) as she had lost it. The 20 officers there told me they had to flee as she almost stabbed them with the glass. I didn’t want to intervene in case I ended up cut, or she turned around and accused us of using force,” he said.

“We didn’t touch her, still less try to grab her, and couldn’t take her away as her family wouldn’t allow it.

“As for the set-up claim, why would she allow herself to lose control of her faculties if she knew from the beginning it was all a trap? I spoke to a security guard there who said she arrived at great speed, almost hitting him and a bike belonging to a resident.

“She is unwell, in my opinion. She has to control herself. In the end the people who will regret this the most are her own children."

Kan, who has posted extensively about the encounter at Sek’s home, said he had agreed to sign over the house to the kids in their divorce agreement four years ago, but had yet to hand it over. Since then he had failed to pay their school fees and had taken in Eve, whom she likened to a fat, lazy python, as his idle companion.

Reports say Kan managed to evict Eve, only for the former model to slip back in to the house again, forcing Sek to call Kannayao police when Kan refused to let up. However, lesser noticed in the storm of publicity surrounding the encounter is that Eve also called in the psychiatric workers.

Media reports dwelt on a lively exchange between Kan and Eve, in which Eve asked Kan why she was bothering them, as she and Sek were now divorced. Kan referred to Eve as a prostitute, to which Eve, referring to a tattoo of a man which Kan had done, replied:

“At least they get money for selling themselves ... what about those who give it away for free?”

Eve insisted Kan was just the father of the couple’s children, and could lay no claim to Sek as they were divorced. Kan insisted she could come back as his wife any time she liked. Eve challenged Sek to say if he wanted Kan back in his life, but he remained silent. Both women accused the other of “weakening” Sek psychologically, starting when he was still an in-patient at the psychiatric hospital.

Writing later on social media, Kan said the incident started after Sek invited her around to discuss doing up the house, as he wanted the kids to stay with him during the week. She denied she was unstable, insisting she could hardly raise the couple’s kids if she was mentally unwell.

However, in a dark message later in the week she said she could no longer share the same world as Sek, and hoped one or the other would end up in a coffin before long.

When they turned up at the scene, Kannayao police asked who had the right to be in the house. They persuaded both Eve and Kan to leave the premises until both sides can present the ownership papers they need. The dispute continues.

Fire case reaching climax

Police expect to wrap up the case of the mystery fire which claimed the life of a former singer’s girlfriend, but are holding off announcing their finding until the latest autopsy result is in.

Supanee “Benz” Sin-anantrakul, 27, died in a blaze which broke out in the two storey family home of former Bangkaew singer Pongpet “Ball” Sinsuwan, 34, in Thanya Thani housing village, Lum Luk Ka, Pathum Thani, late on Dec 16.

Benz
She was staying with Ball’s family supposedly after a row with her father, Banyat, who has gone before the media to say he cannot accept the cause of death was an accident. He says Ball was a hot-head who assaulted Benz repeatedly in the six months or so they were together.

Celebrity lawyer Atchariya Ruangrattanapong has also weighed into the case on the father’s side, presenting police last week with evidence of possible police tampering.

He says Benz’s Line account was cancelled after her phone passed to investigators following the blaze. He also claims to have unearthed a Line chat in which Benz pleaded with friends to come to her aid as she feared for her safety; and evidence from three or four of Ball’s former girlfriends who allegedly claim they were assaulted in a similar manner. Ball denies hurting her.

Deputy national police chief Pol Gen Wirachai Songmetta last Thursday took Ball back to his family home to re-enact the night of the fatal blaze. Talking later to reporters, he said police had enough detail to conclude what led to the fatal fire, but were holding off releasing the result until the result of the second autopsy, by Police General hospital, was in.

The first autopsy, at Bhumibol Adulyadej Hospital, found Benz died from lack of oxygen. Large amounts of soot from the fire were found on her lungs. Injuries found on her body likely resulted from the ceiling collapsing. No signs of bruising on her body which might have resulted from assault were found.

Unhappy with that result, Benz’s father has requested a more detailed examination by Police General Hospital, which could take up to 45 days.

Pol Gen Wirachai said the latest inspection found the seat of the blaze was not in the fact the Buddha prayer room, as many people thought, but Ball’s second storey bedroom. However, while the blaze broke out upstairs,

Ball himself was downstairs, and unable to reach his girlfriend despite several attempts to help, as the blaze took hold quickly and was too fierce.

Investigators had spoken to 15 witnesses and would wrap up the case before the end of January, once the result of the autopsy was in, Pol Gen Wirachai said. The case continues.

A remote love affair
Ble, Carrie
Isan singer “Ble” Patumrach R Siam has set his sights on a young Thai-German girl whom he met on a tour of Europe.

Ble, 22, says while many will think he is too young to choose a lover, he says he tends to think mainly in the present, as the future has yet to arrive. He was taken by his new love, “Carrie”, whose mother comes from Isan, and has a Swiss father, and has even contemplated marriage.

First, though, he has to cope with the disappointment which his many young women fans will feel to have missed out.

“I think if someone loves what we are, she will love what we do as well, even if it is hard to accept,” referring to his decision to go public with the news he has a girlfriend.

“If I am happy, it’s because I am in the real world, not hiding (my girlfriend) away so I can hang on to my popularity, but suffering in my heart at the same time,” he said. “We have the chance to meet just three or four times a year, for 6-7 days a time. She doesn’t have much Thai, but we can use Siri to help us communicate,” he added.

“I couldn’t get over how cute she is ... she is so clear-eyed, and when she smiles it is like the whole world is much bigger, as if it is floating in the air,” he said. While Ble has posted pictures of his new love, he hasn’t said if he will take the next step and bring her out in public.
