Captain’s pick says she's pregnant, pervert scares singer Lada

Unwanted pregnancy blues

Captain, an unhappy looking Mynx go before the media
The former girlfriend of a teenage TV star has severed ties with the young man who is thought to have impregnated her, as her family accused the young actor of betraying their trust.

Sawaphat “Mynx” Soonthornan, 23, last week cut her ties with her ex-boyfriend, Cholatorn "Captain" Kongyingyong, from the teenage series Love Sick, after he initially failed to come clean about the pregnancy and relations between the families broke down.

"If you can't make decisions or take responsibility for yourself, there's no way you can care for anyone else. We will raise the child ourselves," said Mynx.

Her mother, Punnada Chaiyayongyos, offered a scathing assessment of the young man's behaviour, saying he had breached their trust.

"We will sever ties with him, as I don't want my daughter to be hurt any more. She still loves him, but will have to get over it.

"I entrusted her to Captain's care. People may say I am cruel to block his access but he was bad to us first. But if Mynx wants her child to see the father from time to time, I won't object, as it's her right," she said.

Both families went before the media last week after news of Mynx's pregnancy surfaced on social media. In his initial remarks at an industry awards function, Captain was non-committal about whether the child was his, and tried to laugh off the rumours, claiming incorrectly the other side had not told him about the pregnancy.

"It might be teenage carelessness. If it turns out to be mine, I will take responsibility," he said, his voice trembling.

Asked why he did not make contact with Mynx himself, he claimed he was too busy with work.

The interview triggered an angry response from Mynx, who accused Captain of playing down the truth to save his own skin.

"We broke up in April, not at the end of last year as he claimed. He also knows about the pregnancy, because I told him, and took around results of a pregnancy test," she said.

Mynx said she and her mother had been round to see his family and spoken to Captain and his parents.

The young man, she said, had acknowledged the child was his, though his family had also requested a DNA test. Mynx declined, saying Captain's family had refused to let the two of them meet to discuss the child's future.

In remarks before their joint press conference a day or so later, Captain upset netizens when he appeared overly eager to take care of his unborn child, but couldn't say if he and Mynx would get back together to raise it.

With Captain's parents sitting on one side, and Mynx's on the other, cameras spotted him brushing off her hand as she tried to console him. His mother held on to his other hand tightly throughout.

"We split up for various reasons, but still care for each other. As far as the child is concerned, we can't just things go ... I can't let it be exposed to danger," he said.  "I am very concerned about the child. I will arrange an obstetrician to oversee the pregnancy."

Mynx jumped in with the response: "He says he will take responsibility, but as to the form it will take, we have to talk further."

As if anticipating that response, Captain added: "If you ask will I take responsibility for the child alone or Mynx, it's too early to say ... but the immediate focus must be on the child."

His mother, Wiriya Kongyingyong, admitted she was upset with Mynx, but was trying to understand her plight. His father, meanwhile, denied he had tried to stop the two youngsters from talking, but insisted parents also should have a say on what happened next.

On the internet, netizens savaged Captain for refusing to refer to the child directly, instead calling the child “it", or "the thing in her belly which I have done". Mynx and her mother, by contrast, were feted, especially when her mum said she had no demands to make of Captain’s family, as they were happy to raise the child themselves if the other side failed to deliver on their promises.

The saga took a new twist a day later when Captain's manager at production company Nadao Bangkok, Jongjit “Bom” Intong, urged Mynx to arrange a specialist for her pregnancy, and suggested the public had overlooked the question of whether Captain was indeed the father.

"I have urged her to take both families to get a blood test and ultrasound, without success. It's not good enough for her to go alone and then present the results as proof," she said, adding provocatively: "Don't rush to assume what you see is true."

Mynx replied she was waiting for her father, as he wanted to go along to the hospital too. A day later, she and her mother paid a quiet visit to Bumrungrad hospital to arrange an obstetrician. The pair were caught on camera, with Mynx wearing a face mask and cap to disguise her identity. Mynx claimed later the hospital knocked her back, as she has been pregnant for just seven weeks.

Speaking after the hospital visit, Ms Punnada said Mynx had called Captain to tell him not to bother her again.

“He put up resistance, as occasionally he may want to see the child. I have told Mynx that when the child starts to grow, she will start to kick in her belly, and Mynx won't miss him any more...it will be the happiest time for her."

Post attracts wrong element
Lada RSiam
Singer Apapat "Lada RSiam" Suksawadchol says she will have to be more careful about her social media posts after a sexual pervert tracked her to her home.

Lada said the man turned up at her place in Ratchaburi, after she updated her status on Instagram to say she had left her home in Bangkok to visit family in the provinces.

Police believe her admirer, who masturbated in front of her home, in full view of Lada and her aunt, may have followed her from Bangkok. Lada said she had started getting nuisance messages, and her mother indecent calls, after the singer appeared in a bikini photo shoot.

“Since I did the fashion shoot, someone has been sending messages and indecent files on IG; I blocked them. Before that, he was calling my mother's number at odd hours and speaking in a funny voice.

"Mum was shocked and blacklisted the number, but we didn't act soon enough. When we went back to the provinces, I updated my status on IG. One day my aunt was washing the dog in front of the house and I went for a look. We heard a motorcycle park opposite. A little guy, sitting astride his bike, wearing a helmet and face mask, had his hand inside his pants.

"The more we looked at him, the closer he edged towards the front fence. I flew into a panic and called my dad, who said I should take his picture as evidence, but by the time I returned he had gone."

She said the police searched around her home, but found no trace of the man. “Unfortunately there are no CCTV cameras in our soi. But they reckon it is the same guy who was annoying us earlier, and are looking for him. They also searched around our place in Bangkok, but saw no trace of him, so perhaps he was tracking my movements via social media."

Lada said she is not sexy by nature, but the characters she plays in music videos often are. She can't stop people imagining, but wishes they'd keep it within limits.

"Since I wrote about it on IG, I have had no further trouble. But it's scary and I was spooked. I will have to be careful when I update my status in future. If I am alone or in an unsafe place, I won't do it," she said.
