Pregnancy off to flying start, Eve embraces Sek's love child, Pinky splits with tycoon

Zol’s romance with pilot upsets family

Neung, Zol

Zol, Nat
Veteran actor Nukkid “Neung” Boonthong has lashed out at an airline pilot who ran off with his actress daughter eight months ago and has made her pregnant.

Neung spoke up last week after his daughter, ex-Channel 7 actress Panthothong “Gunjaezol” Boonthong, published on social media an image of her taking a noodle meal with her boyfriend, Chanat “Nat” Lertpattanathai. She appears heavily pregnant.

The image was republished widely, prompting an anguished response from the young woman’s parents and younger sister, who said Gunjaezol, or Zol, had left home eight months ago in a huff and refused to contact them since.

Zol’s mother said if Zol was pregnant she shouldn’t lie to society, while her younger sister revealed their mother lies awake at night crying and pining for her daughter.

Her father Neung, meanwhile, said he was relieved to see the picture, as he now knows his daughter is safe. However, he said he is also in a state of shock and doesn’t understand why such a calamity should befall his family.

He said Zol and his would-be son-in-law walked out of their lives when they were discussing the young couple’s plans to get married.

“Now I see she is pregnant I can understand what happened and why she hasn’t contacted us. However, I still think it’s extreme,” Neung said.

“Zol didn’t pick up the phone or answer Line messages, and when her friends called, he [Nat] would tell her not to answer.

“I understand she might have fallen for him easily, as it’s her first relationship, but he should know better, as he is 12 years older.

“His conduct is unmanly. He treated us improperly when we were discussing the couple’s plans to get engaged and marry, and tries to control her life.”

Neung said the couple had known each other just two or three months before Zol broached the idea of marriage. Zol, her mother and younger sister travelled to Surat Thani early last year to meet Nat’s parents. Neung said he was busy with work and unable to accompany them.

On Zol’s return to Bangkok with Nat, Neung asked if he was not rushing things, which appears to have upset the airline captain. “He declared he was ready for marriage, and I asked if he was not going too fast as they had only just met.

“I am not sure if he was angry, but after that he only wanted to talk to Zol’s mother. When she got home she said she was too tired, and asked if they could talk another time ... but he told Zol they were leaving and promptly walked out,” he said.

Neung said her daughter left home on Feb 8. Later he found out the couple quietly registered their marriage on Feb 14. Later still, Nat took Zol to Channel 7 where they asked to be let out of her contract.

“I suppose she was pregnant by then and didn’t want to appear with a huge tummy on set,” said Neung, adding he suffered from heart problems and could not afford to get too stressed.

“I hope they are successful together and make it in whatever they choose to do. I can but raise the child, do no more. If they were to bring my grandchild to me, offer a wai and apologise, I can’t tell how I would react, as I am still too stunned.”

Neung’s family says Nat’s side has claimed through the media they demanded a 20 million baht dowry. They dispute the figure, saying they asked for just 2 million baht, as Nat does not have a place to provide for his wife in Bangkok but must rent.

Zol and Nat, who went before the media last year to declare they were an item, have yet to break their silence on the family drama.

Past catches up with wild rocker
Sek, Eve, Sandwich
Rocker Sek Loso’s new love, former beauty contestant Apisaya “Eve” Pattanaworasap, says she is prepared to accept his infant son into their lives after he admitted he had quietly fathered the child to another woman.

Eve, 27, and her mother, Marisa Laebua, went before the media last week to discuss Sek’s revelation that he was father to a three-month old boy, Leon.

Sek early this month published a picture of himself, Leon, and the child’s mother, actress Paphada “Sandwich” Chotikawanitch, whom he started seeing last year.

He asked netizens to welcome the youngster into the world, without mentioning he had since left Sandwich, who will raise the child alone.

Sek’s former wife, Wiphakorn ‘‘Kan’’ Sukpimai, was the first to respond to Sek’s news, criticising him for breaking a promise to keep the child’s birth a secret, until he had told the three children from their marriage. They found out from the media they now had a young half-sibling.

Unflustered by the criticism, Sek admitted he had since tired of Sandwich and is now seeing 2009 Miss Maxim beauty contest runner-up Eve, who now runs a small business selling goods on the internet.

“I am seeing Eve seriously but not sure if I am still seeing Sandwich. I reckon I have many more children in my past but can’t say if I have many more wives,” he said.

Sek’s admission prompted a jibe by Sandwich’s father, Moo Samran, who said the rocker can’t just take up and drop women at will.

Sandwich, who went before the media to discuss life as a single mum, revealed she had contacted Kan after Sek’s behaviour turned odd. He had started talking to the fridge and hallucinating, she said.

Kan, who divorced Sek two years ago, said he did similar things when he was taking hard drugs five years ago.

Newcomer Eve, meanwhile, said Sek told her about his new son shortly before he went public with the news.

“I have had no contact with Kan or Sandwich, but I would have no objection if Sek wants to bring his new child or the boy’s mother into our lives,” she said.

“I can accept it if he has to take care of them. I made the decision to enter his life from the outset; this is just a problem we have to deal with together.

“When we started together seriously, he said he was talking to me alone, and I believe him.”

Eve said she admires Sek for owning up to the child. She also revealed that a doctor who had examined Sek recently found his personality was hyperactive, and likened his condition to bipolar disorder.

“I can accept that too, as he is also romantic,” she said, adding the two had known each other off and on since her beauty contestant days. He had also written two songs for her.

Eve’s mother, Mrs Marisa, said she was unhappy to hear her daughter had started seeing Sek.

“I feel as if my daughter has wrested him away for herself, though I am proud Sek says he is seeing Eve seriously,” she said. “I have told him he must show he is a man of his word, and he has promised not to take on any more women while they are together.”

Petch says actress needs to ‘grow up’
Petch, Pinky
Actress Savika “Pinky” Chaiyadej has broken up with millionaire Pattaya property developer and film-maker, Itthi ‘‘Petch’’ Chavalittamrong, after three years of marriage.

Pinky, who declared she was leaving the industry to start a family when she married Petch in an Islamic ceremony in September 2014, said the couple’s plans failed to eventuate.

Petch, who was mad about work, didn’t have time to start a family, and she found she did not have a head for business, even though he wanted her to try her hand at it. Pinky has been back home with Mum and Dad in Bangkok about a week.

“We didn’t argue, which just hold different points of view,” she said, also denying a third hand was involved.

“He is a businessman and wanted me to try it out, but I found I couldn’t do it, which put me under pressure. I prefer the entertainment industry and have known nothing else since childhood,” she said.

“I feel relaxed back at home and know if I returned to Petch now it wouldn’t feel the same.”

Petch told the Daily News that Pinky’s remarks were off the point. He was still perplexed about what led to the end of their marriage but said Pinky still has a lot of growing up to do.
