Ploy’s joy, police ‘inaction’ irks Pong, what sex clip?

Singer-actor keen on family reunion

Peter
The estranged wife of singer and actor Peter Corp Dyrendal has welcomed news he intends sending his mother and other seniors along for talks on the future of their family.

Ployphan "Ploy" Taveerat, who attended a city function last week on the same day as Peter, unknown to her, was speaking to the media across town about their marriage, said she was delighted to hear he wanted to make contact again.

Earlier, she had suggested divorce if that would make him happy, as she had been raising their two small children virtually alone for six months without contact from her errant husband.

"I wouldn’t say I feel in better spirits, as this saga has gone on for too long. Whatever makes him happy, he should go ahead," she said.

Ploy
"These days I feel like a single mum. No one in my family complains any more, they just pitch in and help raise the kids.

"The kids are complaining they miss their dad. One of them mentioned Peter today for the first time in ages. I thought at first I should make a recording of his voice and bring it for them to hear. But I think not … let’s wait for him to turn up and clear up matters."

Earlier, Peter spoke to the media at a motorcycle function in Bangkok, one of the few times he has opened up about their marital dispute since Ploy went public with her plight months ago.

Even on the day he met reporters, he admitted he had yet to speak to his wife, or visit his children.

He claims he left his wife months ago to make a big-bike TV series in the provinces, which keeps him away from his family in Bangkok. But he admits he doesn’t call, or drop in to see them when he is in the city.

Peter, who is widely hammered in social media for being an errant husband and a poor dad, said news reports about his family’s problems have been overblown.

"People around us have been busy making up stories and correcting the news on my behalf … I wish they’d stop. I end up with many more problems than I had originally, when really nothing much has happened," he insisted.

"One thing I would like to correct is claims I don’t love my kids. People who think that would be very wrong.

"My mother and seniors will make contact with Ploy, as this matter is not just about me. I can’t say if things will end well with Ploy, but I would like us to put the kids first."

Peter denied reports he has been seeing Prissana "Annie" Pannyasirinkul, a co-host of his big-bike TV series Ride with Me.

"We meet often because Annie is a shareholder in the show. She is a true biker and knows many biking routes and biker groups.

"But there’s nothing more than that. Annie is stressed about the reports [claiming we are an item]. She feels uncomfortable, and was angry with me for a while."

Asked to respond, Ploy said she would rather see Peter alone or with family, not with his biker friends, whom she believes have a bad influence on his decisions. She also warned that settling the matter might take some time.

"As far as I am concerned, I am easy to look after," she said.

"We won’t fix things overnight, and I don’t want him to turn up with his friends. No one knows Peter’s needs as well as him and his family. His friends have known him for years but don’t appear that close." -

2. Rogue taxi driver 'still at large'

Presenter Ornapa "Ma" Krisadee, Pong, Riko
Designer Narongwit "Pong" Thongneht says police are dragging the chain on an assault complaint he laid against a rogue taxi driver, which could put other passengers at risk.

Pong, who heads the design label Zibeth Thailand, says Klong Dan police have failed to act on a complaint he and his Hong Kong girlfriend Riko laid two weeks ago about a taxi driver in the Huai Khwang area.

He says the driver forced them out of the taxi late at night and hit Riko with a water bottle.
Pong said he laid a complaint with police, and took Riko to hospital for a checkup. He also supplied police with the driver’s registration details, but so far has heard nothing back.

The pair caught the taxi in the Huai Khwang market area about 2am and were heading home. He said the row started when he told the driver, who was taking the long way back, which route to take.

"The driver asked why I was being bossy, told me I was ignorant, a coward, and making his life difficult," he said. "He invited me to argue with him constantly.

"I confirm we didn’t say anything impolite or rude. I didn’t want a drama, as it was late.

"We argued for a bit, and he ordered us out of his cab, like we were pigs or dogs. He forced us out in the Dhurakij Pundit University area. I paid him so we could put an end to the problem.

"He walked to the car. We thought he was about to drive off. In fact, he picked up a bottle of water, and threw it at us. It was dark, my girlfriend failed to duck in time, and it hit her in the face."

It was 5am by the time they made it home, after laying the police complaint and visiting hospital.

"I understand the police are busy, but I can’t help but wonder," he said. "Why can’t they track him down? Is this taxi driver still on the road? Are other passengers meeting a similar fate?

"I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. It was assault." Klong Dan police have not responded to his latest complaint. -

3. Woonsen dismisses Facebook fuss

Woonsen, Chakrit
Actress Wirithipa "Woonsen" Pakdeeprasong is brushing off fuss over a faked clip in which her actor husband is purportedly having sex with an actress friend.

She was commenting on a sex clip published by a Facebook site which claims to have captured actor Chakrit Yamnarm, Woonsen’s husband, and actress Usamanee "Kwan" Waitayanon making love.

An accompanying caption, in racy newspaper headline style, refers to the couple. "Kwan denies having sex with Chakrit in leaked clip, Woonsen furious!" it said.

Kwan earlier this month visited Technology Crime Suppression Division police to complain about the clip, which she says mischievously edits scenes from an interview she gave 10 years ago, and marries them with images of a couple in bed.

Denying it was her in the clip, Kwan said the Facebook owner was trying to gain publicity at her expense.

Asked to comment about the fuss, Woonsen said friends sent her the clip while the couple were overseas recently. "I showed it to Chakrit, who laughed it off. He said there’s no way it was possible."

He did not intend joining Kwan in laying a complaint.

"Chakrit isn’t worried about it. He’s a man. Women suffer more than men from such claims. He knows it’s not him, and people who have seen the clip say the same thing."

However, Woonsen said the couple felt sorry for Kwan, and hope the perpetrator is punished. Police are investigating.
