Running into trouble, inching to adulthood, Gybzy's ticket to jive

Peter takes a Bow
Ploy and the bike
Singer and actor Peter Corp Dyrendal’s marital problems are coming to a head after his wife allegedly rammed her Toyota into his manager’s motorbike on Thursday in a desperate attempt to talk to her absentee husband.

His manager, Peter Johansen, took to the internet to defend himself after posting an account of the incident in which his bike ended up worse for wear, only to be hammered on social media by those sympathetic to Peter’s estranged wife, Ployphan "Ploy" Taveerat.

"Ran into Ploy and her mother today. Or rather she ran into me. I’m sorry, but what have I done to you?" he wrote.

Peter's relationship dilemmas have been news fodder all week after Ploy took to social media, pictured with their two young children, to ask when he was coming home to see them again.

"Peter is addicted to work and some of his colleagues. If we wait a bit for him to get over his obsession, he'll remember his kids again. But Panda and Puma haven't forgotten their dad.

They're waiting for dad to come home every day," she wrote, referring to their sons, Panda, aged 16 months, and Puma, an infant aged just over a month.

Media reports suggested he had been absent for some time, though neither Ploy nor Peter have spoken directly about their problems.

Peter has started work on a new "big bike" TV series, Ride With Me, in which he and three co-hosts tour the provinces on their motorcycles. Early in the week he was linked romantically to one of his two female co-hosts, Prissana "Annie" Pannyasirinkul, after Ploy wrote on social media that the helmet she wore looked much like her husband’s.

Annie denied it, insisting they were merely friends. Attention then turned to a member of his fanclub in Buri Ram, called "Bow", after images of Peter and her getting intimate in a nightspot surfaced.

As a rash of hate sites targeting the pair flourished, Bow pleaded with netizens to give her a break, as the publicity was affecting her work at a local hotel.

Bow said she showed Peter the sights in Buri Ram on a recent visit after he asked for her phone number. However, they had not spoken since he left the province.

"I posted the pictures of us together as an ordinary member of his fan club, to show off to my friends. If you want the truth, wait for him to come out and clear things. Don’t rush to judgement, because this saga is affecting everyone, including my work, family, friends, and even my mother," she complained.

Late last week, director Pananda "Kung" Raksakaew, who has just made a film starring Peter, admitted the pair were having marital problems. Kung said he was trying to act as the glue to bring the pair back together.

Peter stars in the film, Latitude Tee Hok (The Sixth Latitude), a saga about the far South which opens on Thursday. He said Peter had asked if he should go before the media to clear the air, but he had advised against it, as it might harm the film’s chances.

"He's stressed and crying. But we all give him the strength to carry on. I have spoken to them both. They still love each other and have good feelings for each other, but aren't talking," he said.

By Thursday, Ploy had decided to confront her husband at his office in Thong Lor Soi 8, but Peter and his manager had other ideas.

"We were heading out of the office, and Ploy was lying in wait outside. When she saw us she sped up her car and blocked us to stop us going any further," manager Peter Johansen wrote.

"Ploy’s mother jumped out of the car and grabbed Peter so they could talk. I stopped my bike, but as soon as I did Ploy rammed her car into me.

"My right leg was stuck between the footrest and the bumper car of her car.

"I am lucky that I was able to get my leg free before she charged into me another couple of times.

"This time the bike fell over and I was able to jump clear."

Pleading for some common-sense on the internet, Peter Johansen said he had two children of his own.

Ploy’s supporters had claimed he was trying to damage her reputation by airing details of the melee, when he was the wronged party, he complained.

No word was to hand on whether Peter and wife were able to talk at the scene of the drama. However, in a couple of brief appearances before the media on Friday, Peter pleaded for time to clear the air with his family before making any public comment. -

2. Nicky's sticky predicament

Nicky
Former model Sura "Nicky The Stick" Theerakol says he is sorry to have brazenly declared his love for Thai superstar Patcharapa "Aum" Chaichuea, now that he knows she has a mate.

Nicky apologised in a self-made clip on the internet last week for an earlier clip in which, bare-chested and grabbing his crotch, he declared he was a long-term admirer of actress and model Aum and would like her to consider him as a prospect.

Aum goes out with socialite Pitan "Amp" Ongkosit, though at the time he made the first clip, Nicky said he didn’t know if she was attached or not.

Nicky, also known as "Nine Inches" in joking reference to the size of his member, is a tattoo-clad wild boy on the fringes of the industry who in younger years appeared alongside Aum in a soap opera.

"I don't watch TV or follow news of celebrities much, but if Aum has a boyfriend, he probably doesn't have this ... nine inches!" he said, holding his crotch.

"I have been a fan since she acted in the lakorn Yuey Fa Ta Din ... she was the lead actress and I was a supporting actor.

"I really like her, though I don’t know why. Perhaps I have been watching too many Mama instant noodle ads [in which Aum acts as presenter]. They get me going.

"Aum, can you spoon feed me some Mama? Can I say, I’m huge."

In his apology video last week, Nicky said a youngster he knows put him up to the earlier effort, and he would like to say sorry for harassing the pair.

"I'll be a grown-up and just do my own thing. You could say I am no good, but as a superstar you might find it in yourself to forgive me. I don't want you to argue. I am just a small player ... don't think too much," he said. -

3. I won't be Marooned

Gybzy
Singer Wanida "Gybzy" Thermthanaporn says she has every intention of going to see the Maroon 5 concert, despite being linked to an internet row over whether she and her celebrity friends bought their tickets fairly.

"I don't know much of what has gone on in the news, but now I have paid for the ticket, I intend going just like anyone else!" she said last week.

Her friend, model Morakot "Aimee" Kittisara, set off the row this month when she posted an image of 25 tickets which she and her friends had bought for the concert. She named each of the recipients and asked: "Are we ready?"

She claimed the seats were together, which set off critics’ jibes that the stars had exploited their connections to jump the queue and obtain the tickets unfairly.

Among those tagged were Gybzy, actor Siwat "Cee" Chottichaicharin and his girlfriend, actress Amy Klinpratoom.

Aimee later apologised for the boast, insisting she was merely having fun. She said friends and colleagues helped her buy them, and admitted the tickets weren’t together in one block after all.

Cee was also forced to say sorry, after attacking internet critics who claimed they were pulling strings.

He said he and his girlfriend had now abandoned their plan to attend the Sept 21-22 concert, as they were afraid they’d get hit by objects thrown by a potentially angry crowd.

Gybzy, however, says she can’t see the point in pulling out, as she has done nothing wrong. "I don't know how they bought the tickets," she said. "Who would want to ask? It's just too ordinary. Friends ask who is going, look for a ticket, and transfer the money.

"Can't I go? I have paid. I feel sorry for what happened, but I really don't understand any of this.

"We didn't think the reaction would ever be this strong, but we tell each other it will all blow over in the end."
