Actress Janie Tienphosuwan denies she is pregnant to her millionaire husband, businessman Chonsawat "Ae'' Asavahame, though the public is not so sure.
"I'm not pregnant, but if I am, I'll be sure to let you know,'' she said last week at a function in Khao Yai, as she showed off her lean figure for the cameras.
She was responding to speculation earlier in the week, set off by a picture of her and Ae taken at Suvarnabhumi airport. In the picture, Janie looks puffy-faced and is wearing a large black dress which appears to show her with a bulge in front.
Janie said she was heading overseas with Ae and wanted to look attractive, so wore what she called a "coat''.
Earlier, Ae published on Instagram a picture of the pair at home in which Janie appears her old, slim self. In this image, Janie is wearing track pants, and a half-length white top with her taut midriff exposed.
Before Janie herself denied the reports, her friend, presenter Rybena "Nana'' Intachai, also came forward to insist Janie was still as slim as ever.
"She is hard at work on a television lakorn, and recently posed in a bikini for a cover shoot with Ae for Image magazine,'' she said.
"It's nothing unusual for a husband and wife to pose together. Janie looked as beautiful as ever,'' she gushed.
Another report quoted a friend as saying the airport shot was taken from an unfortunate angle that made her look bigger than she actually was.
"The bikini shots taken for the magazine were not leaked, but released deliberately to show nothing has changed,'' the friend added.
Netizens, however, wonder if Janie is telling a porky and warn friends speaking out on her behalf to be careful.
"Janie has been caught out fibbing before,'' they said.
Janie and Ae married in September to widespread public criticism. Janie repeatedly denied she was seeing anyone, despite reports linking her to Ae, who is chairman of the Samut Prakan Provincial Administrative Organisation and a motor racer.
When the couple called the media to Ae's family mansion to announce their lightning marriage, Ae presented a document from Janie's doctor to show she was not pregnant.
Mr Chonsawat's father is former deputy interior minister Vatana Asavahame, who is on the run from a corruption conviction.-

Janista "Bam'' Liewchalermwong is warning motorists to stay alert after her brother narrowly escaped being crushed by a container which fell on his car.
Writing on Instagram last week, former TV presenter and Bangkok MP Bam said she feels angry and horrified at the same time that her brother Chawit "Beet'' Seriwattanopas came so close to suffering a nasty death.
Bam said the accident occurred on Beet's 27th birthday. She believes his survival shows he has managed to expunge his bad luck from the past and start anew.
"Anything can happen on the roads, even when youre not being careless,'' she said.
The accident occurred as Beet was driving towards Rama IX Road. He had been out that night to celebrate his birthday, and then watched football with a friend.
As he waited at the traffic lights, a container truck in the next lane attempted to run the red signal.
Beet saw the container starting to topple off the vehicle, and tried to unbuckle his seatbelt to flee. However, he couldn't release it in time, so swung his body towards the passenger seat.
The roof his Honda caved in, but left him just enough room to escape serious injury.
Bam said her brother managed to get out through the passenger's side. She did not say if the truck driver has been in touch. -

Singer Pakin "Tono'' Kumvilaisak is confident his fans are sticking by him, despite criticism of his pairing with actress Pattarida "Tangmo'' Patcharaweerapong.
News reports last week said his young fans, who like to think of Tono as part of their own family, made their displeasure known at a recent function marking the singer's 27th birthday.
Fans upset at his pairing with the outspoken Tango held aloft signs saying "We love you, but don't want the sister-in-law,'' referring to Tangmo.
The birthday bash, in which Tono made merit at Phra Mongkut Klao Hospital, drew a crowd of about 300, which the gossip press said was down on previous years.
Denying his popularity was suffering, Tono said the day went without mishap.
"I went home feeling really happy. I sang on stage, and didn't see anyone holding up any signs. I opened the presents that fans gave me, and didn't find anything [unpleasant]''.
He denied reports, however, that he had bought Tangmo a BMW.
"I bought it for myself at the urging of my family and Tangmo. I was coming back from a work function in Pathum Thani when my old car broke down on the motorway. It just wasn't worth my while to keep it.
"The new car is in my name, not hers. However, I can pick her up and drop her off in it, and she can drive it if she wants,'' he said.

Dtac founder Boonchai Bencharongkul denies gossip reports he has tucked away 1.2 billion baht in a trust account for his infant child.
News from the gossip press said billionaire Boonchai, married to actress Bongkot "Tak'' Bencharongkul, had opened an account for their young son, Khao Hom, who was born on Sept 8.
Speaking last week from his Museum of Contemporary Art on Vibhavadi Road, Mr Boonchai denied the reports.
"I couldn't give him that much money, or my five adult children by previous marriages would get jealous,'' he said.
"I devoted myself to him for life, that's my gift to Khao Hom,'' he said.
"The child weighs 6kg, is taller than most boys his age and is easy to look after,'' he said.
"Tak's mother claims Khao Hom grows by the hour,'' he joked.
He admitted his adult children had yet to meet the child, as they live out of town. However, he takes Khao Hom's photograph daily and posts it to friends and family.
"He likes stories. Sometimes I read him Aesop's Fables, or sing him a lullaby. We also read him Buddhist scriptures, and play music, a mix of classical and modern,'' he said.
Mr Boonchai said he hoped his son would grow up devoted to religion and keen to do good works.
"I don't mind if he wants to enter the entertainment industry one day like his mother. We are getting offers for him to pose in advertisements, but at the moment he's still too young,'' he said.
For her part, Tak was likely to return to acting or directing next year.
