JIN'S ROVING EYE, I TAKE THIS TELECOMS BILLIONAIRE, MAN, OH MAN, MOTHER SUPERIOR

Ning

Actress and model Panita "Ning'' Tumwattana has come out fighting against claims by her husband's fling that she didn't know he had a family or that he was still living with his wife.

Ning took her businessman husband Jin Tumwattana before the media on Friday to discuss his relationship with socialite Warrapan "Namwan'' Pankongchuen, 22.

Ning produced a series of Instagram messages that Namwan sent her husband which she said showed Namwan knew he had a family.

"She sent him a message saying that she didn't care if he was with his family, because she would do what she wanted to do,'' she said.

"The rest of the message said: 'I think I care for you, but I am not sure if you care for me.' ''

Jin, who says he has now turned his back on the affair for the sake of his family, apologised both to his wife and Namwan for causing them distress. Jin and Ning married early last year and have an infant daughter.

Namwan, Jin
"I'm man enough to admit I did wrong, and hope the whole thing will now go away,'' he said.

Earlier in the week, Namwan insisted Jin had misled her, and that she called off the affair as soon as she knew he and his wife were still together.

"I feel sorry for Ning and understand her. She was duped as well,'' she said.

"He claimed he had left Ning, but hadn't made it public. She had asked for a divorce. In fact, it wasn't like that at all,'' she said.

"I wouldn't want him for sure even if he was single. If he can lie to the mother of his child, he could do it to me too,'' she said.

Ning, however, said Namwan knew they were still together long before the pair ceased contact last week.

"I have known since Jan 19 that Jin was seeing someone. I saw him talking to a group of women at my younger sister's engagement party. Two days later, I answered a call from Namwan, who had called him repeatedly. I found out her name, and what was going on.''

She said she and Jin decided to carry on with their relationship, and say nothing.

"While Namwan was in the US recently, Jin and I went away every second weekend, and posted pictures on Instagram,'' she said.

"But she carried on regardless, even sending him a copy of her air ticket, asking him to pick her up at the airport.''

She said the wife of Namwan's elder brother had contacted them threatening to air audio clips that Jin sent Namwan if he didn't step in to clear the air.

Before contact between the pair ceased, Jin and Namwan met at a city hotel last week to discuss the release on the internet of intimate pictures of them both. Jin said they leaked out after he took his mobile phone, which contained the images, in for repairs.

"I happened to be sitting in a shop at the same hotel,'' Ning said, denying she followed her husband there so she could confront Namwan. "She saw me, and looked shocked.''

Jin said he could not promise to put his philandering ways to one side.

"I'll carry on, probably just by flirting with my eyes. No one would believe me if I said otherwise. But I do promise not to put my family in this position again,'' he said.

Earlier, Namwan denied she enjoyed stealing other women's husbands.

"I don't have to be anyone's little wife, and nor do I need the money. If I ran out of cash, I could take our cars to sell - a Porsche, Audi R8, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, my dad's vintage cars.

"My brother's solar-cell business in Prachuap Khiri Khan alone is worth more than 10 million baht. Or I could sell our planes,'' she said.

Namwan's mother, Ampaipan, also stepped into the row, insisting Namwan exercised discretion about who she wants to see.

"Our family can't support her seeing someone who won't look after his family. That's our line in the sand.''-

Boonchai, Tak
Actress Bongkot "Tak'' Khongmalai is showing off ultrasound pictures of her unborn child as she celebrates her marriage to billionaire Dtac founder Boonchai Bencharongkul.

Tak, 27, and Mr Boonchai, 58, tied the knot in a traditional ceremony at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Thursday.

"I'm pleased I didn't suffer any morning sickness. Normally I suffer some, but on the day of my wedding our child joined in and helped. She wasn't moody at all,'' joked Tak, who is three months' pregnant and has swollen in size.

A gossip magazine yesterday published an ultrasound image of the child, which doctors say is a boy.

The happy couple
Mr Boonchai said he offered his bride a marriage dowry worth 100 million baht. The couple also exchanged one carat rings in the shape of a lotus, worth about one million baht.

Tak said she planned to take a couple of years off work to raise the child. Mr Boonchai, who has five previous wives and five adult children, has declared he would like a son.

The couple say they will register their marriage and plan a honeymoon in Hawaii, probably after the child is born. They will take Tak's mum with them.

"Wherever we go, mum will come along,'' Tak said. -

A 30-year-old TV presenter has emerged as the new face of the "transman'' movement.

Jimmy
Kritthipat "Jimmy'' Chaisuktananon was feted by the media last week after the story of his transformation from a woman to a man was published in a magazine.

Jimmy, who underwent four operations to change his sex, said he has never thought of himself as anything other than man trapped in a woman's body.

He had his breasts removed, vagina sewn up, uterus and womb removed, and penile implant and nerves inserted. He also takes male hormones, which he says has given him emotions as volatile as those of a teenager. His gender reassignment surgery, which was performed in Thailand, cost about 500,000 baht.

Jimmy said he studied at an all-girl school, but never gave up hope he would one day change himself into a man. He underwent the surgery two years ago.

"Mum once bought a doll with long hair for me. I cut the hair off, as I didn't like it. Wearing a dress to school, as I did from kindergarten to sixth grade, was hard to do.

"My parents understand me. I've always behaved like a boy, even as a kid. Even though I'm an only child, they still introduce me as their son whenever we go out,'' he said.

Jimmy says he wants to improve public knowledge and combat prejudice against people who have had the surgery done.

Netizens say they are impressed by how much Jimmy, who is single, looks and sounds like a man.

"Thai surgeons have made huge strides if they can change someone's sex so convincingly,'' said one.

"Every day, Thai men manage to look prettier, and Thai women look more handsome. It's just me who looks as ugly as ever,'' said another. -

Ida
Actress Irada "Ida'' Siriwut says criticism that she is a bad mother makes her blood boil.

She says she would like to slap the face of a webboard poster who accused her of being an indifferent mum.

Ida is married to singer Chai-amorn "Amy'' Kaewwiboonpan, of the alternative pop band Bottom Blues. The pair have a daughter, Lullabelle, aged six months.

The actress last week published the offending webboard comment on her Instagram account.

"A source in the industry says Ida hardly ever raises her daughter. She still carries on as if she has no child, hitting the town like a teenager,'' the post said.

"She gives her child to her younger sister to look after, so much so that Lullabelle now recognises her aunt as her mother,'' it said.

Ida said few things get her worked up, but that comment did.

"Someone sent it to me. What source? She deserves a slap. Let me put it briefly: Meddler!'' she wrote.

A source told the Siam Dara gossip rag that Ida is in fact a loving mother. She has pulled out of many of her work engagements, so she can devote herself to parenting.
