Orm was reunited with her white Mazda 3 on Phetkasem 30 Road in Bangkok on Wednesday, after an alert policeman who lives in the area suspected it was stolen.
The Channel 3 actress reported the car missing last Saturday, after she took it to be cleaned at a car wash in the Nang Linchi area.
"The staff there gave me a receipt, and told me they would take 90 minutes,'' she told reporters. "I walked around the shopping centre next door to kill time, but when I returned, they couldn't find my car.''
Thung Mahamek police identified a suspect from CCTV footage. The man was seen chatting to staff, before heading to where owners' car keys were kept. He picked up hers, headed for her car and drove away.
Officers suspect an inside job. They say the man knew where the cameras were located, and knew how to position himself where he would not be seen.
Four days later, an officer from the protection and crowd control division of the Metropolitan Police Bureau found the car, parked about 50m inside his soi in Phasi Charoen.
He said the car was covered in a canvas sheet, but the wind blew it off, revealing a white Mazda with the boot still open.
When he took a closer look, he found the licence plate number did not match the sticker on the windscreen.
The car was also parked at an angle that blocked other vehicles, which attracted his attention.
Checks with local police found the licence plate which the thief fitted to the vehicle was fake.

The rubber mat on the driver's side had been replaced, and identification stickers on the windscreen scratched off.
Orm said she was delighted to have her car back.
"I love that car. I had almost paid it off. It's like a boyfriend ... when it goes missing, you feel upset,'' she said.
A pair of sunglasses and eight pairs of shoes which she left in the car have gone, but she is not worried.
On Thursday, joined by 100 members of her fan club, Orm took the car to be blessed at a Bangkok temple to help improve her fortunes.
"My experience should serve as a lesson to all. Make sure car-care centres keep your keys in a safe place,'' she said. -

The Manager newspaper said the car approached the checkpoint at speed. When police asked to inspect the vehicle, Keng replied: "I am Keng Mathus.''
Police say they could smell alcohol on the driver, so asked him to take a Breathalyser test. "Are you really going to test me?'' Keng asked.
Officers at the checkpoint asked Keng to step out of the car, but instead he sped away.
A police officer grabbed the driver's window and was dragged along with the vehicle briefly before falling off, injuring himself. The Breathalyser fell inside the driver's window into the car.
As the injured officer was admitted to hospital, police sounded an alert for Keng.
Later the same afternoon, the hi-so actor handed himself in to Crime Suppression Police.
He said he had been dining at a restaurant with friends before checkpoint police had pulled him over.
He admitted refusing to take the breath test, but said he sped away when he thought police had cleared him to go.
When police searched Keng's car, they found three 9mm bullets inside, Khao Sod newspaper reported. Keng also handed back the breathtester.
Speaking outside the court, Keng apologised for his actions, and begged society's forgiveness.
The nephew of a famous likay singer, Keng was convicted at the age of 17 of detaining and raping an actress. He was sentenced to five years in jail - halved, and suspended owing to his age.
The Manager newspaper said Keng has also faced claims of attempting to kill a university student, detaining a promotions girl, abducting a school student, assaulting the son of a jewellery shop owner and hitting a builder. In May, 2010, he admitted threatening a security guard in Pattaya with a gun. -

Comedian Bumrer "Note'' Chernyim Phonginsee says he will think twice
about sending his teenage daughter overseas again, after she was robbed on her
way home from school.
Note sent his daughter DaengMo, 17, to England for six months to help improve her English.
"She wants to sit entrance exams for Thammasat University's international programme. However, she's just a kid, and went over there alone. I think we'll wait until she comes of age before we let her leave home again,'' he told reporters.
"It was 5pm, and she was heading home. Over there, it's dark at that time,'' he said, describing what happened to his daughter on the day she was robbed.
"DaengMo said she saw a man sitting at a bus stop. It was as if he was waiting for her. He started following her, but she didn't like the look of him, so she took off.
"She quickened her pace at first, and then started to run, but he chased her. He grabbed her backpack, and she fell to the ground.
"At first she thought he would harm her. But the law over there is tough. They probably don't carry weapons. Mostly, they just want money. When they come across Asians, they know they can harass them.
"As she was running, she said she was thinking of her mum and dad. But as a mere youngster, she couldn't outpace him.
"She was hurt when she fell to the ground, but the experience hurt her inside much more. When I heard what happened, I asked her mother to go and fetch her immediately.
"We should consider ourselves lucky that she wasn't harmed. She probably lost about 100 [4,950 baht], but that's just money. It's a good thing that he tossed her wallet back at her, or she might have lost her passport as well,'' he said.
Writing on the internet, many Thais sympathised with his daughter's plight. Others, less generous, envied the fact he was able to send his daughter overseas to study. "Don't boast about your wealth!'' they chided.
